We are an elderly couple, who particularly seek understated quality and quiet, with good space and outlook. We have traveled extensively in Australia (also Tasmania) and other areas of the world, and this facility is a "Good One"! The cottage answers all these "needs" with aplomb. Host Helen is a gem... nothing is too much trouble and she knows her...

Spent a truly lovely night at herons rise vineyard after a big day sightseeing on bruny island. It was nice to get off ferry and be at our accommodation within couple minutes. Helen was very welcoming and friendly. The cottage was homely and comfortable, spotlessly clean also. I will definitely recommend this place to family and friend.

Our cottage at Herons Rise was just divine. Helen had done an excellent job of making it warm and cosy and had the fire all stoked and ready for us. She provided excellent information prior to arriving and was the perfect host; even providing us with fresh home eggs for breakfast! The cottage was spacious, cosy and immaculate! We had...

Where do I start!!! The detail and creature comforts were top notch... Everything from the best breakfast and supplies we have ever encountered, Helen's gracious warm welcome, the immaculate presentation of the cottage sitting amidst a small environmentally farmed vineyard. With views to Bruny Island and walks through the paddocks and forest. We loved our stay ... Lucky us for...

Without doubt the perfect home base as we explored Southern Tasmania. Rustic, private, romantic, lovely views of the bay, short drive to Kettering, minutes to Peppermint Bay. We stayed here as our base for exploring Bruny Island and surrounds. As others have mentioned, Helen is divine. Leaves you to do your thing but ever available if you need help with...

We stayed 2 nights and wished we could have stayed a week. Helen was truly lovely and very thoughtful. The stay was intimate but private with independence. I loved the tranquility of seeing water in the distance from the cottage. The breakfast provisions were devine and on par with my values of wholesome/wholefood produce. The cottage was well maintained and...

We absolutely loved our stay at Herons Rise Vineyard! It was our favourite accommodation on our trip around Tasmania. The little cottage that we stayed in was so private and comfortable. Helen (new owners) stocked our fridge with the most delicious foods for breakfast and we were so delighted by the personal touches she added to make our stay even...

Arrived without pre-booking on the off chance we would find a room for the night. Helen was very welcoming and so within 1/2 hour of settling in we did not hesitate in securing another 2 nights. The accommodation was to a very high standard, even had a wood burning fire and fully functional kitchen. The views from the deck were...
