The lodge and the cabin we were in were first class accommodations, so much more than expected. Park lodges we usually see in the USA are old, tired, drab, dingy places that had been built in the early 1900's and you suffer in them because they are "historic" and that's all you can get. Not the Freycinet Lodge- super modern...

I'm not quite sure how to review Freycinet Lodge, for one it is definitely in a beautiful part of the world, it also has the bones of something quite grand (or at least the Reception/Restaurant/Bar areas do), but the rooms are a bit odd in their layout, they are very dark, extremely dusty and maintenance of simple things such as...

This hotel is nicely located near the Freycinet NP for easy access . The rooms are large & comfortable with a spa bath & 1980s decor is lovely! There is no internet in the rooms but you have come here to get back to nature & not use facebook surely ? but those with a need you can get some...

We stayed here as part of a Lifes an Adventure 3 bushwalking tour ( highly recommended ) and if I had read the previous reviews I probably would not have stayed . We had a lovely clean large room ( cabin 55) . My only suggestion would be to add tea and coffee making facilities - room was spotless and...

The villas had everything in that was necessary. Yes they were tired, but we used the place as a base for walks Fraycinet National Park. For price and location it was perfect for our needs. In our party one family had a two bedroom villa and one a single bedroom.

This is a pretty bad hotel in an amazing location. Bad 1980s decor. Poor maintenance. No special touches like umbrellas for shade or information brohures to help you take advantage of whatever is on offer. Food was 1980s. Service rAnged from delightful (matthew in restaurant and erica on front desk to dismal (including a disinterested manager). Worst of all was...

A nicely located resort which is being let go through lack of care and attention. The rooms are expensive and although good when originally fitted out are now looking tired. I don't expect broken chairs, non matching crockery and a no brand TV. Plus if robes for my spa suite are promised I expect them. The communal areas are untidy...

Coles Bay is stunning. The original intent of the lodge clearly was too. Shame current management couldn't keep it up. We paid an eye watering amount for a spa cabin only to turn up and find our cabin looked at a car park. We objected and were grudgingly moved next door, which was marginally better. (Don't agree to be given...

Beautiful place, but this was the only place where we felt they thought people would come anyway no matter what they would make of it. Cabin for four but only one bedroom and the double bed in the living room. Not the best set up. Kitchen not meant for cooking so diner in the tavern, which was Allright.
