We enjoyed our one night stay in Burnie and, in particular, the Ikon Hotel. There was some trepidation as we parked up in the small uninviting car park at the rear of the hotel. We subsequently learned the hotel has it's own secure car park nearby. We really didn't know what to expect as we entered the somewhat ordinary bar/...

Our room was on the second floor- great view from here, of ocean and the CBD. Plenty of space for sitting area and dining . Ikon Hotel has been decorated with flair and fitted out with attention to quality e.g. Villeroy and Boch china. We appreciated having our bags carried upstairs by the owner. While in Burnie,be sure to see...

We stayed in a Large king Delux..large being an under-statement! The room had a separate dining area/kitchen, which has a bar fridge, sink, microwave, toaster & kitchen utensils. The bedroom, which was huge, had ample hanging space & a massive antique mirror leaning against the wall. The only draw back to the whole experience was that the bed was extremely uncomfortable...very...

We recently stayed at Ikon Hotel for one night, and were really happy we booked there! The room was very spacious, the king bed was very comfortable, there was a double shower (what a luxury!), and the room was well equipped. We'd definitely stay there again, if we ever return to Burnie. The restaurant down-stairs also served a really nice...

Both my wife and I were really happy with this hotel. We had a King Suite with a Kitchenette. Very efficient use of the space. Large LCD TV, spacious bathroom and comfy bed. Very close to the waterfront area and about a 15min walk to the Penguin Observation Centre. This hotel is in a heritage listed building. Some of the...

The Ikon was a bit of a mixed impression. They had spent a lot of money on the artwork in the accommodation common areas, but you still entered the accommodation area through the hotel public bar. The bed & bedding was excellent, but it was very low to the ground. There was no air conditioning or ceiling fans and not...

Right from the very beginning (when I for made the booking) this hotel was great - the staff are friendly, really helpful and very happy. We have a comfortable king bed (with electric blanket), a kitchenette with complimentary continental breakfast too and a spa. Everything is super clean and there is a massive wardrobe too. The appliances (kettle, toaster and...

Finally a hotel that delivers what it offers. Yes it's clean , modern , all the necessities supplied plus friendly helpful staff. I hate to recommend this place as I don't want it to book out for future visits but to be honest it's A1 . Stay here and don't be disappointed .

What a well named and incredibly luxurious boutique hotel. Huge rooms, luxury like you'd never experience in a hotel normally. Lovely friendly, welcoming staff. Location was perfect, bed was very comfortable, room was quiet. The spa in our bathroom was a surprise and much appreciated. Decorated beautifully, I could have been in Europe. If I had to criticize I'd say...

The Ikon hotel has been renovated to a high standard with large rooms and very comfortable furnishings. The small kitchenette comes complete with a range of breakfast foods. The bathroom is well appointed. The staff are very welcoming and happy to help. The location is perfect for visiting the town and there is a taxi rank right near the hotel....
