Three in party, couple and elderly father of one. We were visiting The Wall so stayed overnight at the pub in Bronte Park. Very, very basic accomodation, rooms have no air conditioning , clean but furniture appears to be unchanged since the hotel was originally built. "Functional " is a good description. However the evening meal at the pub's dining...

We stopped here for the night on our way to Strahan from Hobart. This was a unique place to stay. The room was not modern but it was warm and comfortable on a cold day in early November. The staff were very pleasant and accommodating. Would not have any worries about staying again.

We didn't stay here but we ate at the restaurant twice. What an unexpected delight! Forget your standard pub food - this was seriously excellent stuff! Lamb backstrap on a bed of yoghourt and spices with amazing selection of vegetables cooked just al dente (not soggy mush), Atlantic salmon cooked to perfection with a mango and prawn sauce. Really good...

Went to Bronte Park Village Hotel after a recommendation from a local, found some of the best dining in Tasmania. Just brilliant !!!! Tempura oysters with a wasabi sauce.........divine. Entrees as big as a main meal you can't go wrong.

While I have never stayed here, I have eaten here a number of times with family and friends and we have always been assured of a good meal, especially since the Lodge was taken over by the new owners. Very generous portions too and they will cater for vegetarians and vegans if given notice. Regarding lindenx's unfortunate remarks, we have...

Stayed here on our way from Queenstown to New Norfolk. Our room was clean, comfy and warm. Old school in appearance, but it was a nice large room. The attached bar was nice, with great, well-priced food/drinks and friendly locals. There was an unexpected free breakfast in the morning of cereal, toast and a variety of spreads. The couple running...

Bronte Park is more for the campers and fishers so having reasonable motel accommodation is more than expected. Very comfortable rooms with good showers. Huge country pub meals. My meal could have fed the whole family. I was embarrassed that I only ate a quarter of the schnitzel (it was called a brontosaurus, so I was warned). Good value.

The cottage looked run down before we opened the door, the place was filthy rat droppings on the fridge (see pic), back door wouldn't close wallpaper hanging of wall, the oldest cooker I have ever seen! The only good thing I have to say is the receptionist agreed with me and refunded me straight away. As I arrived at reception...

Had a meal in the restaurant at Bronte Park Village and was blown away by the quality of the food, the generous servings and the warm and inviting surrounds. I was with a group including local fishing guides who told of the recent purchase of the business and the determination of the new owners to make it work. Bronte has...
