As a local, I have enjoyed Sunday lunch here with a friend a couple of times recently. Servings are generous, side salads very fresh, chips beautifully cooked and quality sirloin steak perfectly cooked. Have also enjoyed the Chicken and Bacon Pasta, the Surf & Turf and a special of wonderful Lamb Cutlets. Highly recommended for an above average "pub" lunch.

The staff was courteous. The hotel itself is convenient to shopping around Springwood. It's right across the street from the train station. I recommend taking the train into Sydney instead of driving. The train fare is comparable to parking and any tolls, and the stress is non-existent. The hotel has more steps than most people expect. Those who have a...

This hotel is in a great location across the road from the train station and in the middle of the Springwood shopping strip. Stayed here on Friday and Saturday night. It was very noisy on the Friday night as there was a live band playing with a lot of very noisy people until around 3 am plus a fire door...

Only place on town , you have to go up lots of stairs to rooms so not great with heavy bags . Room pokey , bathroom was at least clean and reasonable size. Noise from downstairs bar and then trains running all night meant virtually no sleep before an early start . Couldn't wait to leave ..

Staying in the mountains , this is a great pub to have a light meal or a great steak , prices are reasonable and quality is good. Have had dinner mostly on Saturday nights so pretty busy but waiting time is pretty good , most Saturday nights have great music too .

Very Professional. A group of at least 25 of us booked the Melbourne cup Luncheon at the Royal. The place was nicely decorated, tables set ready and NOT squashed together like other venues. TV's all on and ready to go. Firstly the ladies (Suellen) looked after us selling sweeps and explaining to us how to put on a bet at...

Had lunch here last week. Portion size was huge. The food was good quality and arrived quickly. I like this pub as you can always find a quiet spot away from everyone else. Kitchen staff were friendly too.

This is the first time staying in a hotel, I thought the noise downstairs would keep us awake but didn't hear anything from our room, bed was comfortable for a double and a bathroom attached with a great shower. I couldn't get the tv to work. We didn't eat in the hotel but would stay there again.

Stayed on a Saturday night after family function. Comfortable room above a pub - no problems with access and friendly staff.Good rates. No real noise issues, a band was playing but I couldn't hear from the room. Patrons made a bit of noise downstairs at front of the pub but didn't seem to go too late.
