This is a hotel under renovation so there may be some inconveniences but the overall feel is of a charming hotel with a great dining room where one can eat in style. We stayed one night and because I required a ground floor room there was limited choice but a friendly hostess found a nice bright but small room scantily...

We had a fabulous room, nearly double size with a really comfortable king bed and perfectly preserved antique furniture. The bathroom had been recently renovated and had a luxurious good-sized bath. The room itself had huge windows onto the balcony looking over the gardens and the local area. As it is located on a tiny side road, there is no...

Had two nights here with another couple and all enjoyed our stay. In quiet street, just off highway opposite park and our shared East facing "Orchardview " Suite was self contained with large cosy sitting room opening onto large verandah. Ate in Restaurant both nights and enjoyed a good variety of meals. Breakfasts were also good with the usuals. Lovely Historic...

Went here recently with friends on a Friday night for drinks & dinner. We started with drinks in the recently refurbished bar & the atmosphere was really very good. We then went into the dining room & had fish & chips with salad. The food was very good & the service excellent. The building is from the 1800's & it...

I organised a weekend stay here for a group of ladies and was very happy with the owner Denise's helpful attitude as well as her husband, Garry and all of the staff. We were made to feel very welcome. The hotel itself is in the process of a major renovation and what they have done is fantastic. This does mean...

Our stay in the Mt Victoria Manor was just fantastic- the accommodation is excellent - we had the family suite and felt like rock stars in our palatial suite. The food is sooo delicious,a delectable cheese board for breakfast, and dinner was amazing - some of the best Salt and Pepper Squid I have ever eaten. The staff at the...

Stayed at the Mount Victoria Manor for 2 nights as a couple for a get away from the city to celebrate a birthday in the blue mountains. I could not recommend the Manor enough, the accommodation was beautiful in every way, the owners Denise and Gary were so accommodating and even surprised us with a bottle of complimentary champagne to...

Vicky and Matt, We are so glad that we could play a small role in your celebration of Matt's 25th Birthday. We also love our dressing gowns and they were an addition to the rooms that we couldn't go past. They will be in every room as soon as possible as we move through the property refurbishing the rooms. It...

What a wonderful find on our Aussie road trip. We didn't want to stay in the tourist areas so took the short drive up to Mount Victoria where we found this Hotel and we are so glad of our discovery. The staff were all great in getting us sorted and into what was a very comfortable room (no air-con but...

James W, Thank you for taking the time to review us in such glowing terms. We also love our new bedding as we feel that a good night sleep makes everything okay. We are planning to put reverse cycle A/C into each room as part of the refurbishment as we realise that although we have with a very cold climate...

Charming hotel with small but adequate rooms, with owners who are very helpful and available with regard to all kinds of requests and with helping you figure out the logistics and finer points of the Blue mountains. The food , if you opt for dinner, is quite tasty, and prepared by a German chef who, in addition, provided us with...

Dear Berlina. It was so nice to meet you both during your recent stay and thank you for your review. Our renovations are on track and as we move into less public areas the potential for disruption will have even less impact on guests. We are also glad that our chef was able to point you toward many good bush...

I took my family here for dinner mid-week, first time we have been here. The meal was, to be honest, amazing, and well beyond what I was expecting in Mt Vic. The menu is varied and interesting, and offers meals for herbi and carnivores, all reasonably priced. We had steaks done to perfection salmon to die for, home made pasta...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Mount Victoria Manor, once the weekend residence of J.R. Fairfax was built in 1876 on the most commanding point at Mount Victoria. Mount Victoria Manor is a magnificent, rambling edifice constructed on solid stone foundations, embellished architecturally with cedar fittings, leather ceilings and highly decorative anaglypta wallpaper. Currently undergoing a renovation with the theme 'Heritage with a Twist' it has retained its impressive qualities, combined with an ambiance you can feel as you walk in the front door. The onsite restaurant 'Coopers' serves hearty country food using as much local produce as possible. Our herbs are delivered daily by a local gardener who works with our team to create fresh wholesome food. Our bar has a Spanish feel and serves tapas style food just perfect to eat whilst sitting in front of one of our open fires. Mount Victoria Manor is situated in a small 19th century village. The house has 13 en-suite rooms and 3 apartments all individually decorated with queen or king ensembles, feather doonas and electric blankets. All rooms have en-suites and the apartments have a shared bathroom within each unit. Our gardens are also undergoing a renovation and we have plans for a kitchen garden and we are rejuvenating our orchard. ... more   less
