Have stayed here twice now. So close to Lake Lyell Recreation Park. Handy if not wanting to camp. Spacious clean rooms, A/C, comfortable beds. Some king rooms available. Quiet off the street. Very impressed.

I arrived at 1130pm and woke the manager up requesting a room as I was too tired to continue on to Mudgee as planned. She was gracious and helpful. The room was quiet and bed comfortable . Excellent self serve breakfast and everything very fresh and well presented. Wonderful country hospitality Thank you

I've stayed here in the past for work. It's a sold place to stay for that. As a couple, there may be better places around. Unfortunately their restaurant was closed due to a family emergency, but also in the past, it had great food.

I was travelling for work and stayed here in December 16. Reasonable location - even so next to Great Western Highway, there was no noise and it was quiet. The rooms are away from the Highway. Rooms are reasonably clean and comfortable too.

I had the opportunity of staying here earlier this month. Not having booked I pulled up at around 7pm hoping to get a room. The office was locked and a message was stuck to the glass to ring a mobile number. I rang the number and booked in and was told that there was a key in the key box...

Rooms are spacious and quiet, with the hotel about 3kms for Lithgow main street. Opt for lower numbers rather than highway facing, but noise not really a problem Plumbing needs an upgrade and can be a bit noisy but good hot water. Great steaks and fish. Rooms don't include breakfast, so worth negotiating up front. No options close by.

We found the hotel pleasant and comfortable, clean and spacious room. Our only disappointment was when we went to the reception area for breakfast in the morning to find the place locked. We called the number given and was told that we did not ordered it when we checked in so non was prepared. This is something unexpected as we...

The room was ok. It was pretty standard and not much to say. We were in room 12 and near the highway but it wasn't loud. The food was terrible. They were a bit disorganised - maybe they are new owners!

My second stay at the Bowen inn. Very clean and comfortable. Units near reception quieter than near highway. Dinner was lovely , fish and chips. Breaky eggs mushrooms and tomato. Cooked whatever you want. Good real coffee. The owners are so friendly and accommodating . Close to hospital and university where I had to go. Highly recommend.

Well we stayed at the Bowen again and once again the accommodation was first class. We ate at Settlers Restaurant and boy what a meal after a tough day at the track all we wanted was a good meal and it delivered. The salt and cracked pepper squid was a great starter. We both had Pasta and the sundried tomato...
