We stayed for to two nights over the Easter Long Weekend in Cottage #5. The cottages is a part of the Jenolan Cave Resort but is located about 8 km (12 minutes) away. It is also possible to walk 4 km to Jenolan Cave via the Six Foot Trail but we did not try it. The 2 bedroom cottage is...

We had a room booked for a night and also booked a cove tour the afternoon before. We chose a room with bathroom and shower included. The furniture and room finishings were fantastic. Big bed. Decent bathroom. A spirit in the room which kept opening the cupboard door. Great fun. No dinner but we did have a drink at the...

This is an older hotel, that could do with a bit of updating. It's proximity to the Caves makes it very popular. Restaurant is a lovely room, meal okay. Room clean and bed comfortable. Well worth staying here if wanting something close to the Caves.

Been living in Sydney over 20 years and have been to Katoomba on many occasions but never to the Jenolan Caves. The extra 1 hour drive is worth it. When headed to the Caves house you must go through the Grand Arch whilst still in your car. Your first glimpse. Once through the arch you enter the village and you...

We stayed so we could enjoy cave tours and then head out on a multi day hike with friends - perfect place for affordable, simple, clean, warm place to rest and re-charge between adventures. If you want high end luxury and private bathroom regardless of your trip purpose then it's probably not the place for you. We also had great...

We recently stayed in Jeolan Caves Cottages (8kms from the Caves). The cottage was great. It was a good size for the 2 adults and 2 teenage boys (it sleeps 6). It had everything we needed. The beds were very comforatable and all the facilities worked well (we actually were to hot witht the gas fire on and had to...

We stayed at cabins 8km up the mountain from the caves. The 2-bed cabin was clean, comfortable and perfect for our needs. The first night we were there a large group in 2 of the 8 cabins made a lot of noise til 11pm, singing, screaming and letting off firecrackers - so that was a bit disturbing, but they were...

This could be a minefield. I mean look at the location, the amazing Caves but instead it's a shambles. We visited twice over the past few days but did not stay in the accommodation as past experience has been disappointing. It's obvious things have not improved. The whole place is tacky, including the public toilets which are not necessarily the...

We stayed here for two nights. Budget accommodation for six totalled almost $400! Six bed dorm, no heating in the rooms (although when I spoke to them about the heating the reception desk offered me one of their heaters!), a kitchen for use but nowhere to even buy bread or milk, two showers and two toilets between 24 people. Paint...

We had a double room with shared facilities. All taps leaked and there were the standard notices about water being a precious resource! The lights were not working in the ladies - so had to grope around in the dark - I didn't attempt to shower apparently (overheard conversations of other guests through the thin walls) the water was either...
