Our small group arrived on Good Friday to be greeted by a friendly and helpful Manager. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the bed rooms. Really clean, great bedding and toilets and shower nicely tiled and clean. We were also allowed to use the Manager's lounge and kitchen (where the makings for breakfast were provided) All for the...

Fabulous food. Group of 8 of us and all meals were top quality. Efficient and friendly service. Just wonderful! Very generous serves. Great value for money. The roasted vege stack was a firm favourite and the chicken parmigiana was delicious.

If you have an interest in the history of country towns and could use a change of pace retreat to this loved old pub. We decided to spend some time away from Sydney and explore the Central West of NSW. We had been through Carcoar before but never stayed the night. My husband and I had the best time enjoying...

We statutes at this lovely country pub last week for three nights as we were visiting Bathurst 1000 car race. The pub is in a historic town about 40 min from Bathurst and a great alternative if you want something quiet, friendly with character. The owners Cheryl and Ross went out their way to please us in the dinning room...

The high point in our wonderful visit to Carcoar was our stay at the a Royal Hotel. Mine host, Ross provides fine country food in a superb setting of yesteryear- log fires, hand made huon pines tables, warm comfortable rooms and the widest verandah you have ever seen. In fact it's like being on a magnificent ocean liner!

We fell in love with Carcoar and the Royal's host, Ross, was a gentle giant of a man who very literally couldn't do enough to make our stay wonderful. The Royal is just as 'country' on the inside as it looks from the front and the old fashioned hospitality, huge meals and atmosphere of the pub were perfect for a...

Stayed at the Royal for one night this week and it was an enjoyable experience. Carcoar is a beautiful village with enough to do over a couple of days and the people are very friendly. It is a great place to wind down and veg out.The hotel is old and typical of a country pub but it is clean and...

Reservation with Cheryl was a breeze. When I got to the hotel, I was greeted by Ross who is one of the nicest people I've met. Ross was helpful and accommodating. The hotel was warm and friendly in nature which made my stay feel very cozy. I visited for a marathon, unfortunately ending with injuries. Ross was so helpful with...

We did not stay at this place, we were staying across the road at the Five Frogs. However we were early so thought we would pop in here for lunch. No such luck, we were met at the door asking "what do you want" by a very unfriendly man. We said we had popped in for lunch. Told us he...
