I loved the remoteness and beauty of this location, however I found it to be way to expensive for camping. $38.00 for a car, $6.00 per pet and $10.00 per trailer. For those prices I would expect a powered site, clean toilets and your firewood ready at your site. If it was $20 a night I would go back in...

We have been coming to Turon Gates for 10 years and it never fails to impress us. The well appointed mountain cabins have spectacular views, lots of wildlife and total peace. It's wonderful not to have any neighbours and just be able to wander around this property rarely seeing another soul. It's very reasonably priced and not too far to...

We went there initially because we heard it was dog friendly. It's a very beautiful place full of wildlife with a beautiful river and amazing history. We met the owners (Soren and Sonya) who were lovely and made us feel right at home. We took our little Cocker Spaniel puppy there to play and it was a great experience for...

My boyfriend and I visited for a few days recently and stayed in the Glamtent. I have personally been coming to turon for years and it is one of my favourite places in Australia. Not only is it extremely reasonably priced but the value of your stay exceeds expectations every time. We were recommended to stay in the Glamtent as...

The mountain cabin Khayalan was perfect for the two of us, very peaceful with great views of the country and distant mountains. Wildlife was everywhere, including a fox that wandered past ignoring us. Capertee village had any extras we needed but there was no mobile reception at the cabin, which we thought was excellent! The managers did all they could...

Sheer relaxation spending 4 days in the riverside cabin at Turon gates. No phones, &TV made for old fashioned family fun around the camp fire. Yabbie fishing, board games, relaxing in hammock made a restful break away from Sydney. Enjoyed lots of bush walks with the kids and our two dogs. Horse riding at Turon and canoeing an added bonus...

This place is very pretty. I really want to love it here but have mixed emotions. The drive in is fun. Even more fun in the rain and even better at sunset. Camp 1 and 2 are well set out, right on the river. There are lots of things to do or nothing if you choose. These are the reason...

We have just had our mid week break at Eagles Nest and would like to say how thrilled we were to stay there again. On our arrival, we found everything nice and clean and our linen all laid out for us. Thank you so much for the bottle of wine and the honey which we all enjoyed. We used the...

We spent a weekend camping at Turon Gates. More than enough space to pitch a tent and have some privacy. Scenery and area was magnificent, and with no phone signal, you couldn't help but enjoy it. Both Soren and Sonya were very charming and welcoming, the facilities and activities kept my girlfriend happy despite her not liking camping, so it's...

We stayed as part of a group of 7 of us. 4 adults and 3 kids and it was perfect! As much or as little to do as you prefer, sit on the deck and stare into the neverness, or get your skates on and walk/ride/stroll your legs off. Far enough away from Sydney to be quite, but close enough...
