We chose to stay here for two nights to celebrate our wedding anniversary. What a lovely place, a warm welcome, lovely room, lovely people and fabulous food. They have a lovely garden full of quirky animals that peep out of the foliage. The breakfasts both days were great, try the smoked salmon and scrambled egg or smoked haddock and poached...

Stayed overnight with three friends to visit Petworth House and found the Inn comfortable and the staff friendly. Rooms are very quirky. Parts of hotel are 1300s and you have to beware of the low beams and sloping floors! Very well furnished and very clean. Our only negative comment is that the twin room beds were only 2"6 inches but...

Two previous visits were just for a meal with friends, but we decided to stay so more of the good beer could be drunk. Very friendly helpful welcome and shown to our lovely rooms which were clean and comfortable . We were able to sit outside with our drinks before a very good meal. Food as always was beautifully cooked...

I visited with my friends from Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA) and was impressed to find three very good ales on tap and all in great condition. This was my first visit and I found it to be a very friendly and well presented place. The food was superb and justified the above average price as it was great quality....

Good food, welcoming and switched on staff. Decent pub for lunch. Great for celiacs as food clearly marked. Mother in law very happy with gluten free fish and chips. 😀. Also good beer and wine selection.

We stayed here for a special birthday occasion, we both feel that we were made to feel welcome from the start, nothing was too much trouble for the staff they gave us advice on where to go. The food was excellent and sensibly priced. They made the main night feel really special for me even coming out of the kitchen...

Great central location, bar well stocked with a variety of gins! Great bar man and pub garden. Disappointed on check in - circa 3.10pm to be told food stopped being served at 3pm! As a guest I would have expected to be offered something at least. Hotel rooms need updating and a little more TLC. Clean though. Dog friendly which...

Stayed here 3 nights on this my third visit - (second visit with current owner). Service has improved greatly since my first visit and I would not stay anywhere else when in Petworth. Situated a few minutes’ walk from the market square and town centre. The Angel Inn has medieval origins. Its large bar and dining area features old oak...
