My Husband and I have just come home from a great stay at the Inglenook, the staff were all lovely, helpful and friendly, our room (19) was perfect with a very comfy four poster bed, the shower was amazing,,we had breakfast and evening meal, which were well cooked and served,, the only tiny complaint on food was we were served...

A group of 6 of us stayed here during mid Feb for 2 nights. Having visited the village in September last years for football a few of decided it was a good based for a weekend. The Inglenook is a very friendly family run business with lots of attentive and friendly staff, from the receptionist to the barmaid, the chef...

We celebrated my wife's 50th Birthday, coinciding it with the Valentines diner and dance. Family and friends totalling 23 all met in the cosy bar with lively inglenook ablaze. When ushered to the function room we were greeted with an amazing table layout, arranged in the shape of a heart, this proved to be a very sociable design. The food...

Had a wonderful dinner at the Inglenook Hotel with my wife, to celebrate St Valentines Day. The food, service and atmosphere were excellent. I can highly recommend the sea bass. They have a great bar with two roaring log fires, perfect for a drink before our meal.

What a wonderful evening we had, good table position, food is the highlight, good choice and excellently prepared. Wonderful singer, well into soul music, and had the dance floor packed out most of the evening. Good value for the money, will keep going back. Check their web site for upcoming events

We stayed here for 2 nights at the end of November as we were down for a 50th birthday. The rooms are very unique, and must be a nightmare to keep clean but ours was spotless. The bed was very comfortable. Our only problem was the room was too hot and as we were at the front of the hotel...

Our first visit 29th January, a birthday meal. We had a carvery. Was all cooked perfectly, the Pork that I chose was very tasty and not too fatty like some Carvery's we have been to. Plenty of vegetables too. We had a choice of desserts, I chose the Cheesecake, good choice. I left feeling comfortably full :-) The staff were...

Stayed overnight for a funeral. The staff were friendly, considerate and couldn't do enough to facilitate our needs. Room was small but perfectly formed. Very clean. Very comfortable. Lovely quaint decor. Chef was more than happy to adapt the menu to our needs and the atmosphere was very chilled. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thank you to all the staff...

Excellent food, excellent service and it was my mother in laws 81st birthday but she did not want us to say anything re this, so it was just a quiet family meal. However the waitress over heard us talking and when they brought her sweet they put a candle on it and sang Happy Birthday, which my mother in law...

Lunch on a Sunday can be so hit and miss and as a result such a family disappointment. The root cause is often that the carvery is poorly executed but I am so pleased to say this was not the case at the Inglenook. No quibbling about what you can and can't have, perfectly cooked meats, a choice of lamb...
