The rooms in this hotel really need updating. My room was generally tired looking. As you can see from the photo, the window was very mouldy and as I pulled the net curtain back, the dead spider fell out. It is clear that this window has not been dealt with for quite some time. Not sure that I would ever... More

We stayed here as part of a group attending a party nearby. The first room they took us to was old and shabby and smelled of stale cigarette smoke. When we told them we were given a much better room. Our single friend was given a room with 3 beds in, one bedside lamp with no bulb in it. There... More

On arrival place looked alright, as I'm walking to the room it gradually gets worse and worse with mould creeping down the walls and mouldy discoloured lamp shades. Didn't help that my room was a 6 week walk from reception. Opened my room door and the inside door nob almost fell off! On first glance it's a pig sty and... More

Stayed for just one night. It was ok but nothing more. Everything needs updating, it was like taking a step back into the 90's. On the plus side, it is in a convenient location as it is close to the M6 toll, the breakfast was pretty good and the staff were all very helpful.

Stayed for 1 night in this very tired hotel, check in easy, room dated and shabby bed looked like someone had already slept in it for a week. Filthy dirty shower curtain, shower took 5 minutes to get hot and then just stopped working. Guests deserve better than this but I guess no-one actually cares.

The central heating comes on at 2am, its roastingly hot, but the bed is soft and cosy. A nice clean bed, and it's easy to relax in this sadly dated hotel. If it is good value to stay here. The room is nice and quiet, the carpet has a few stains, the window has a chain to stop it being... More

The hotel is in need of a face lift i'm afraid. It may have worked 15 years ago but people want and deserve better. We had to wait an age at the bar to be served and the same bar staff appear to have the roles to cook and wait on also. Because the staff are busy behind the scenes... More

I stayed here for one night due to a business meeting the next day. I checked in at around 9pm, the process was easy and free of fuss. My room was down a long corridor that needed a lick of paint. The room, however, was absolutely fine, a big room, comfortable bed, sitting area, bath and shower etc. Everything I... More

I have to attend this hotel for regular meetings. The gents facilities are disgusting. Staff are friendly but nothing has been done about the abysmal conditions in the last three years. My colleagues that have no option but to stay say the rooms are well below modern standards. We are looking for an alternative venue.

I read the previous reviews and thought Mmmm, interesting. Well the reviews were spot on. Very dated and in dire need of a coat of paint almost everywhere it would seem. In fairness the staff were excellent and check in was fine. Tried to change my room, they couldn't do it but were very polite in explaining why. The bed... More
