Reading previous reviews we were a little unsure of what to expect. It is true, the place is dated, but we quite liked that. It could do with a lick of paint, but is very clean, the bed was very comfy, plenty of parking right outside the room and a restaurant on site. The shower was great and very clean....

After being let down at the last minute by another hotel, I phoned the Longshoot on the off-chance they had 5 double or twin rooms available. I spoke to Claire who checked and we were able to book all the rooms we needed. We arrived after a day out celebrating our annual family reunion, and were checked in by Liz....

Once again just had my yearly visit, very much as before, except that the entertainment in the attached public house, was none existent on the Friday night, which after a long day had always been something to pass the evening away, But as always you get what you pay for at this hotel, the rooms are basic, and aging a...

Room fairly standard. Helpful receptionist on arrival. Breakfast served between 8-10 which is fine however I wasn't down for breakfast until 9 by when most food had been used, with replacements not available, I had been told there was a large fisherman party so it's obvious it was going to be busy, some foresight from the management would've ensured things...

Stayed one night. This is one night I won't ever get back. I felt like I had entered some reality TV show and it was a murder mystery party. I was worried that I was the next victim. The room: Seedy, dirty and stained more than an old man's underpants. And I had a decorated room! I did like the...

Ok. Having read the reviews about the Longshoot I didn't know what to expect. I am very pleasantly surprised. My review is based on the hotel being a mid budget place to stay and for its niche it's excellent. My room, 18, is very clean and comfortable. Only complaint is that the bathroom is tired, nothing a good clean, some...

Stayed for two nights as friends were getting married nearby. First impressions were shocking. As my fiancée and I drove in we both commented that it was like a scene from CSI! The room wasn't much better and the condition of the bed gave the impression that comfort had been a complete after thought. To set the tone of a...

We stayed for 1 night and was quite glad it wasn't for longer! The accommodation was tired and looked like butlins chalets from the 70's! The room was clean-ish, but there was either salt or sugar sprinkled all over the dresser, and someone else's empty drink carton in the bin! The internet was patchy, the food in the restaurant was...
