we have just had a 2 day stay at the chase and all i can say it was not nice the food was unedible the chase was untidy and unwelcoming. the staff were miserable and unsurly not one of them spoke to us in the 2 days we were there the food looked like it had just been slapped on...

Room was clean and tidy but in need of some maintenance. Evening meals waited over a hour, food cold when arrived. Breakfast undercooked and cold, sausage pink in the middle. Woman very unhelpful and rude.

Four of us tried here for a birthday meal. All very happy with our choice of food, my steak was cooked to perfection, the codfather fish I was told was beautiful and also the mixed grill was good. I stayed here and found that there were a few issues with the women in the function room on a night out who appeared to gang up on you and I still can't understand why? They actually set up a table near me clinking there glasses of that horrible drink sex on the beach like I was the black sheep,...

Been to the chase loads of times, never seems to be enough people behind the bar. You spend most of your time queueing for either food or drink. They must know with football being on there will plenty of people in. Poor organisation.

It's been 6 weeks since our last visit which wasn't very good! Today even though there still wasn't enough staff and our chips were cold the lovely waitresses were very helpful and gave us fresh chips and checked back that everything was ok. Much better visit this time Thank you x

This hotel was recommended to us by a friend - who hadn't actually stayed there - now an ex-friend!!! The entrance to the hotel is at the rear and a very tired looking reception. Very nice budget hotel..the room was very good..,well appointed and clean...with nice bed and furniture..the breakfast was excellent.including beautiful English breakfast,toast cereals fruit etc..the staff were all very friendly and the bar and restaurant serves beautiful high class pub food. My only negative comment would be that the entrance area to the hotel which is round the back....looks very tired...

Service very slow( staff apologised but really excuses not good enough) food standard poor( complained and got partial refund) unfortunately myself and my friend who shared a platter are now feeling off colour
