Went for lunch today. Very good first impression of the place. Busy for village location, I was recommend by a friend who goes regularly Compact menu, plus sandwich options. Probably a little on the pricey side, Beer £3.95 Steak over £20 but no complaints, it was quality. First impression of staff and smile would help!

Stayed here with my 3 sisters at the end if Nov in two twin rooms. Rooms were lovely - all different and very comfortable. We also ate here in the evening. Food was very nice and the wine reasonable! Had a nice walk around the village - there is also lots to to in the area. Would highly recommend it....

We returned to The Howard Arms yesterday - last visited in 2006. Happily, it was just as good as it was then. We stayed in the Garden room - a really beautiful room with an excellent bathroom. The food was delicious particularly the full English breakfast. The staff were all very friendly and helpful.

Wow! Not much more to say really. We stayed at The Howard Arms for a New Year's Eve getaway and enjoyed a delightful stay. Staff were warm, friendly and attentive and our room was exquisite. Our heavenly four poster made it difficult to stay awake until midnight and the en-suite bathroom (with its incredible shower!) was the height of luxury....

This was our 3rd visit to the Howard Arms. It has a great atmosphere, good beers and excellent food. The rooms are large with lovely beds and linen, good sized ensuits and everything you could possibly need! It's very convenient for Stratford upon Avon and in a beautiful Cotswold stone village. We stay there 2 or 3 times a year...

A return visit to this venue after a break. The food was very good on this occasion. We used the main dinning area and although there was a large party in the bar area the service we received was good.

Revisited this place and had an AMAZING meal. Cosy, country feel, with very attentive staff. Will definitely be coming back again as we visit the Cotswolds on a regular basis. All the Christmas lights on the outside make it look very welcoming.

This is a real find.Warm, welcoming and excellent food. Set in the Peaceful Hamlet of Ilmington. The rooms are divine ,with luxurious bathrooms to match. We really enjoyed our two days and our relatives were so impressed when they joined us for luncheon. We arrived to an amazing Christmas Fair where we indulged and bought the biggest brandy snaps ever.

When enjoying a relaxing weekend away I look for comfort, good food, quiet but efficient service and somewhere nearby to visit if the fancy takes me. The Howard Arms in Ilmington provides all this and more. High quality accommodation in a beautiful setting helps, too. Highly recommended.
