As with most other reviewers we find it hard to fault the staff, the room (lovely comfortable and enormous bed), the food and the ambience. We used a deal advertised in the Waitrose magazine and it was enjoyable from start to finish. Some prices seemed to differ depending on which list you looked at but we didn't feel the need...

A beautiful place to stay. Great nights sleep and the staff are lovely. Complimentary malt whiskey what more could you want. Excellent all round. The rooms are beautifully decorated each with its own individual character and the bed was so comfortable i didnt want to get out of it.

Lovely rooms, all named after Jane Austin characters, which was nice as we were planning to travel to Box Hill the next day. Nice touches within spacious rooms, huge bed. Nice atmosphere. However, next to a busy road, so if you are a light sleeper or need to sleep with the windows open - take note.

Excellent staff at every level with quality of customer service at the highest level. Food in the restaurant was super. We had a great stay in the most friendliest and good humoured...

We've just returned from a wonderful stay taking advantage of your Gourmet Getaway package (as seen in the Waitrose magazine). From the moment we arrived on Sunday afternoon to leaving after a late leisurely breakfast on Monday, the staff couldn't have been more friendly, welcoming, helpful, polite and professional. We stayed in a beautiful room inside the cottage - a...

We enjoyed an unusually good overnight stay. The room was very comfortable with lovely touches, including complimentary 12 year old Scotch and Sloe Gin available to all the guests. The evening meal was really very good, certainly as good as any five star hotel we have stayed in. Breakfast was first class, and far more extensive than the usual, rather...

Nice atmosphere, good food and excellent facilities. Only room available was the one in the middle of the car park which was very nice, but you would not want to stay there more than one night as you cannot really open the blinds without people watching you have a bath!! Am sure the rooms in the main building don't have...

A quiet & pretty location. Clean comfortable rooms, one was a little cramped for a large girl with the bed being under the eaves. There is no covered link to the cottage which can be a little inconvenient if it rains. Very friendly staff in the bar that has a good selection of Ales & wines, equally, the restaurant staff...

Clean comfortable room and very quiet location in the cottage as requested on booking. Very friendly staff in restaurant and bar. Little disappointed on first night as mentioned and booked for husbands birthday but no special table had been reserved. Food was mainly good but a couple of dishes could have been better. If you like walking it is a...

From making the booking by telephone I knew that the staff would be welcoming and I wasn't proved wrong. Very comfortable room and excellent meal in the restaurant. Will definitely return as we had to leave due to work the following morning so didn't get to explore the surrounding countryside on foot
