We had a very enjoyable evening for my dads 60th birthday, the bar hill room was a nice setting, the food was amazing and enjoyed by all and the staff were very helpful all night. We'll be back again.

Properly lovely classic Sunday roast. Husband happy with a plate full of roast beef and a cheeky slither of pork, I had the veggie option (Brie and courgette crumble) served with all fresh seasonal veg cooked perfectly. Our 18month old happy with a decent high chair and some mash and gravy. Lovely merlot and craft ale recommended at the bar....

We arrived at this pub at approximately 2.30 on a Sunday afternoon. We ordered our drinks at the bar and then asked if they had a table for 2 available. The young lad behind the bar informed us that there was nothing available until 5.00 as they had 100 people arriving very shortly. At the time we felt this was...

This pub is set in a lovely, rural location, overlooking the Staffordshire countryside. A roaring fire greeted us inside and the building itself looks to have been recently decorated. We were sat in what appeared to be a function room at the rear of the building, along with five other large family groups. The atmosphere was happy, however there were...

Found this lovely old inn through the Pub Guide on our way down from Edinburgh to London area, and it didn't let us down. Great welcome by Carl, lovely appointed room, great bars with open wood fires. Had a great meal and lovely bottle of Red!

Lovely Sunday lunch with family. Food was absolutely delicious and the prices are reasonable - 9.95 for a carvery of a really high standard. The service for drinks wasn't brilliant, but staff were rushed off their feet as there was a party of 60. They didn't charge us for the drinks as a goodwill gesture. Have been here before for...

My wife and I and my brother and his wife stayed for 3 nights. We were allocated the chalets which were perfect for us. They were spacious and very clean. The food was excellent, particularly the Sunday carvery, one of the best we have had. The host Carl; made us very welcome, he was all that a host should be,...
