We stayed here in our touring caravan for a week in October half term. The site is excellently placed for visiting Alton towers which is only a few minutes away. The site is well cared for, nice and clean and looked after by a friendly team. We found the toilets and showers to always be spotless with plenty of hot... More

We live 40 minutes away from this site and this was the first time we stayed here. Managed to get as super pitch with water and drainage which made our stay that bit easier. There appear to be only 5 of these so book early to avoid disappointment. Site was very well kept and staff were friendly. Due to the... More

Been visiting this site for a long time, when I was a child, now bringing my kids. This site is a wonderful site. Facilities all clean, disabled room, family room and general showers and toilet blocks. As a little shop for basics. Nice park for kids to play on. Cheadle 10 min away with Morrisons, Asda. Local Chinese delivery if... More

We have visited this caravan park numerous times this year, with friends and on our own as a couple, it is ideally situated for Alton Towers and is just outside the city for a relaxing break. The staff are always busy cleaning, cutting grass, weeding etc and are only too pleased to answer any questions if you need any help.... More

We stayed as campers for a couple of nights as we were spending a day at Alton Towers for my stepson's 16th birthday. As it's literally less than a five minute drive to Alton Towers, and reasonably priced for camping pitches, this site was in a very convenient location for us. I was very pleased with the fuss-free booking and... More

This is a really nice site, very clean and tidy, the grass was nicely cut and the staff very friendly. The kids play area is probably the best of all site I've been to. I would defiantly return. Very minor observations regarding the toilet block which would make this a 5 star site would be to provide either a bench... More

This site is in an excellent location very close to Alton Towers. (Make sure it's open b4 you go unlike us it was closed for two days) if you want piece and quite then this is the site for you unless they are cutting the grass which is s massive area and seemed to go on all day. We could... More

We have stayed at The Star twice now as we are Merlin Annual Pass holders and we like to visit Alton Towers for a few days in the summer. Last year we camped (our first time ever). We stayed on grass pitch with electric hook up (next to play area). The staff placed us near the toilet facilities and play... More

We were in the minority because unlike many people we camped whereas most were motorhomes or caravans, and we also didn't use the site as a base for Alton Towers - even though it is so very close. Instead we were relaxed on site, which was big enough to do so for four nights or so. It is quite regulated... More

A thoroughly delightful campsite, with great facilities, exceptionally helpful and knowledgable staff with great views (if you decide to camp near the top of the tenting field). Wendy and Jane were most accommodating and friendly right from the beginning of our stay to the moment we left. The campsite (tent field) wasn't that busy either which was nice, and the... More
