Looks tired outside, but understand that it has been redecorated now. Inside it was comfortable, warm, quiet despite being on main road - convenient bar, with food, in the evening. The breakfast room was a little dingy and deserted, but food good. Bonus to be able to take my wellbehaved dog too.

Seems like the Dolphin is the only pub in Wincanton showing Premiership football. If a big team is playing it's pretty packed mostly with guys although there were a few couples there. Good range of beers, go early if you want to eat as the kitchens close at 8.15pm sometimes earlier.

Had the pleasure of having a meal here for our parents anniversary. We had the stables out the back. For the size of the party the rooms were not big enough could not keep everyone together so some ended up in other room away from main party. Food was ok having not eaten here before it was better than we...

If you're looking for top end accommodation then this is not for you. We were here on a racing trip and I was slightly concerned as the price was so low (£65) But there was no problems at all. The whole place has recently been refurbished. The room was a bit compact but with a decent bathroom and excellent shower....

Stayed on a Friday 13th November, bedroom was comfortable, with bath and shower, comfortable bed, recently repainted, the breakfast was excellent, all branded extras and cereals with nice full English, I enjoyed it a lot, pleasant young man with great hair served us. The Hotel is old and has some character, but, the recent room painting and external cladding suggest...

Checked in Friday 23/8, 2 rooms a single and a double. We didn't have a window, just a skylight which on the last day realised it actually opened. No wardrobes in both room, just coats hooks with hangers. The shower needed a good overhaul as the water only came out of 6 holes on the shower head. Bed was very uncomfortable,. Breakfast...

We chose this hotel as it was a good price and we were attending a wedding nearby. Room was cozy and very small with only a sky light. It was clean apart from a hair left in the bathroom. The bed was very bumpy with springs and the shower too ages to drain however. Also the wifi did not work...

Stayed on Saturday night as we were attending a party nearby. There is noise from the pub below, but we were out all evening, so we're not too badly affected. However there was still noise up to 1.00am outside in courtyard, just after we got back. Our room was spacious being a family room with king size bed & clean...

I stayed here one night after a wedding in the local area. Room was clean and tidy and staff were extremely helpful and friendly. It was much better than I was expecting and I would recommend to anyone looking for a short stay.

Not at all pleased with this hotel, would have driven home if not been out all day and tired. Needs a good tidy and freshen up, first room they gave my husband and myself had damp in the room, we asked for another room, which we got but wasnt much better damp in bathroom, smelly, party going on in courtyard...
