We came here on a Monday night, and decided to have a carvery in the restaurant for £6.95. The food was lovely, hot and plenty of it. Good value for money. The restaurant was spacious, also clean & tidy. We will be returning again.

Stayed overnight last Friday at the Dolphin so that I could visit other places in Wincanton. The room I had was basic, but very clean and had everything I needed. I had dinner there, and food was simple but plentiful. Staff were friendly. Breakfast on Saturday morning was a bit disappointing in that it was served on a buffet basis...

This is the first time we have been to the dolphin hotel and we had not booked but a table was swiftly found in the restaurant for us. The restaurant was Nicely decorated and the staff were pleasant some of our meals were poor, the pie was very nice, it did not look appetising and the meat was so tough...

My son had recommended the Dolphin when we went to the races. The rooms were very clean and everything you could want. Although the bar was very busy with race goers the service was still very good. Breakfast was very good hot and plentiful.

We haven't been to this venue for a while and it's been refurbished and updated. We chose the new restaurant to the rear of the pub which was the old skittle alley. Modern decor and tv and relaxing comfy sofas near that. All new decor carpeting etc and access to a decked area and garden at rear. The food was...

I stayed for three nights and have nothing bad to say at all. The room was comfy and I loved the shower. The continental breakfast had a wide variety and there was also the option of hearty cooked breakfast for a small charge. It is right in the heart of Wincanton (opposite the Discworld Emporium which was the reason for...

Arrived there on Saturday night with two small children, only to find drunk people swearing underneath our window, shouting and just absolutely horrible. None of us could go to sleep until after midnight, when we were just too tired. The carpet was so filthy, I had to make sure none of us walked on there barefoot. The breakfast, the few...

Stayed for 3 nights, Thurs, Fri and Sat. The car park entrance is a bit narrow, through the entrance arch but there is ample space. Our room was well equipped with lots of drawer space, very comfortable beds, a good size ensuite and amazing towels. We've stayed in lots of upmarket hotels and not had towels this good. ALL the...

We stayed for one night with friends at this hotel. Our advice would be to avoid rooms 9 and 10 as these two rooms are above the generator room and gents toilets. The door arm close on the gents loo was broken and the door slammed shut each time it was opened, well into the night. The rooms themselves were...
