Visited with friends on a Friday evening, plenty of room to choose a nice table, menu selection was great (could do with more pasta options) meals were presented really nicely (not keen on meals served on chopping boards though). The carvery was in full flow and looked to be very popular, Staff were attentive but not over powering to make...

Very friendly staff and a good menu. The food is piping hot and very well cooked, all at a reasonable price. I had the seafood pasta with salt and pepper squid on top and that was excellent. The seniors menu options went down well with my dad and his 89-year old brother.

My wife and I attended the local Wincanton races and spent the night at Hunters Lodge. The evening meal was okay, nothing special, but the accommodation and breakfast were great. A large comfortable bed in a quiet location but the breakfast was absolutely superb. A good selection and beautifully cooked and presented piping hot. The staff couldn't do enough for...

We stayed one night, and were in the Inn which is connected to the pub, there is a corridor between the pub and rooms. I had requested a room not too far too walk, due to mobility problems. Request was observed. Check in quick. Room 11 large double with patio door also fire exit to a shared balcony area, which...

We were here for a family event and stayed in the Dorset Suite - a spacious family suite with double and two twin beds, a spacious en suite bathroom with double sinks and counter space galore. Thank you for your kind review. We are aware that the wifi isn't always the best, when the pub/restaurant is busy and lots of people are using their mobiles/ipads etc the signal does get very weak, with this we can't always help, we can only apologise for any inconvenience. Glad you enjoyed your time with us, we hope to see...

Friendly, efficient welcome. Room was a bit cold on arrriving and took a while to heat up as I had to put the thermostat to near maximum before the heating came on, but ok after I realised that. Large room with rather tired furniture, and large, reasonably comfortable bed, but if you need a firm bed this won't be for...
