We fancied a night out of Bristol at the last minute and headed for Watchet, a lovely quiet seaside town with good pubs and boats to look at. Upon arrival we sat with our pints and asked the barman where we might stay the night. He directed us just down the road to the Mariner Guest House. It could not...

We spent a 2 night wedding anniversary break in Watched during March, having previously been made aware of this hidden gem of a coastal harbour town. We chose the Mariner Guest House, based on its location and sea views across the Bristol channel to Wales. We were warmly welcomed by Denise, who works for the Guest House and she was...

My partner and I (and our dog) had a very enjoyable 3 nights at The Mariner. The room was spacious, as was the en-suite and a view out to sea. Great location in a superb town - great pubs! Denise is so friendly and welcoming. Breakfast is ample and delicious BUT be sure to save space for the delicious smelling...

A visit to any B&B should be judged by the service it provides. But unfortunately our visit to Mariners was a catalogue of inconvenience and lack of service. Despite what the website may say we were told we would need to pay by cash as debit cards weren't accepted. The room rates quoted on the website were not correct. The free...

We had a 3 night stay here, we had booked the twin room at the back, but for some reason were upgraded to the Captains Quarters which was very spacious. Very clean and nicely decorated in blues and white. The view has improved greatly since the photos on this page, yes, the sea wall is still there but now painted...

Stayed just the one night with a friend but it was excellent - nice clean, comfortable room with a lovely breakfast and nicely placed for the West Somerset Railway and North Somerset. Pleasant landlady who suggested somewhere for evening meal in Watchet which again turned out be a lovely place for an evening meal.
