Ten of us had Sunday lunch here. Firstly the staff were all lovely. The menu is fabulous and the choice wasn't easy because it all sounded great. The crab, the game terrines and the crispy pigs head to start with between us were delicious. The triple roast comprised of roast chicken, roast beef and roast belly of pork. Or you...

We visited for lunch on Good Friday and found the staff helpful, friendly and efficient. There was a good menu selection available, although the prices can be a little on the steep side for "pub grub". A starter of celeriac and apple soup was quite nice at £5.50, but a little acidic from a bit too much apple. Mains of...

I'll start with a fact; this isn't a cheap 'pub grub' sort of place. That said I've been there a few times for a treat and never been disappointed. The atmosphere is always spot on, drink selection fantastic and the food never fails to impress! I've been the for lunch and in the evening but the meal that I suspect...

This hotel is lovely if a bit small. The rooms are tidy and well furnished although they could do with putting down a few more rugs to stop draughts from the floor boards. The lightbulbs could also do with being a bit stronger as we found it hard to read in bed. The bathrooms are really nice with a large...

We have been to over a dozen great hotels in the south of England over the last few years. Last year alone, we visited 7 great hotels. The White Hart Somerton makes it into our All-Time Top 5! We stayed for three nights in room number 1, which was a large room with a lovely window seat. I enjoyed several...

This is a nice hotel with very good food. We stayed here for a few days to escape the rat race, and I would say we succeeded! The best part of this hotel is the food. It has a varied menu and we found the quality to be very good. The room itself was nice, the only criticism would be...

I arranged to meet a long-lost cousin here for dinner. Very nice ambience, good range of local beers, friendly service. Food was definitely above average pub food, and very enjoyable. A good eatery in Somerton, with classy menu.

We were surprised and delighted when our teenagers clubbed together to send us to a boutique hotel in Somerset on Valentine's (followed by husband's birthday). They White Hart was a wonderful choice. Although it was quiet unusual to walk past a bar to a rather makeshift reception, the staff were friendly and helpful from the moment we arrived (who needs...

My wife and I stayed at the White Hart for Valentine's night this year. The White Hart is a characterful small friendly country hotel, but with up to date facilities and lovely staff. We had our Valentine's meal in the hotel restaurant, the food was very tasty and service was very good. The pub was lovely, although the bar man...

Travelled down from Wiltshire and we're not disappointed. Good beer (Potholer) followed by an interesting menu including a specials board. Chose the latter which were both very tasty followed by excellent cheese. Very efficient and attentive service. A first class pub and restaurant
