Wendy was the perfect host, this is an excellent B&B spotlessly clean. The room had a wonderful terrace/balcony overlooking Porlock where we were able to have a glass of wine in the evening. The continental style breakfast was superb with everything freshly made and yes the ground coffee was a welcomed addition. Porlock is a lovely place to stay and...

We met friends for a two night break, on arrival we found the owners very welcoming and the accommodation extremely clean, we found the complimentary teas, coffees and biscuits to be well above the usual standard offered in most establishments ...The cafetière and 'proper' milk was much appreciated. There was a lovely selection for breakfast, although it was not a...

Spotlessly clean accommodation in a lovely setting. We found the breakfast arrangements very relaxed and loved the continental-style menu, including home made bread. Lovely comfy bed and handy kitchenette. We will certainly be back.

Breakfast is...

I've traveled around the world and rarely have I come across a place like Amberton. Hidden on a secluded hillside in the heart of Exmoor, it was the perfect retreat for me and partner on our early September getaway. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. Our hosts were attentive, helpful and made us feel like we...

I have stayed in countless B&Bs over the years but this is without doubt the best I have ever experienced. Everything Wendy and her husband say in their description is true and as they say, they have clearly learned from their own experiences in B&Bs in setting this up. We stayed just 2 nights in July during a marathon holiday...

We booked 2 nights here in late August as it was close to a party invite location, not really knowing what to expect. What we got was a superb, spotlessly clean decent sized room with fridge, microwave, and a very well stocked small kitchenette area. It had a large en suite shower room, fitted to a high standard (that's my...
