Went in today on our Real Ale Trail Sun about 1.30pm. Bit of a dump needing a pot of paint. Young bloke behind bar on his mobile not interested. One Real Ale...see picture... lots of 'bits' at bottom of glass. Lad at bar avoiding a complaint tried to look busy is near empty pub. We left...

I have never been in such a place. As soon as we opened the front door, it smelt like a sewage pit. It was horrendous. The smell is disgusting, no ventilation and not even a window to open. I'm so glad we didn't stay too long. If my friend didn't have a drink awaiting on me (which was drunk very...

Back in the day this pub was always busy, but not so much these days. We called in for a lunchtime pint as the sun was out, and you can sit out the back in a courtyard which has pitted shrubs and flowers dotted around. Don't expect a modern decorated place, this pub is what it is and doesn't pretend...

This place could be really good as the location is nice and quircky at the top of a street full of vintage shops. Needs:- New mattresses, nicer bedding, better attention to detail on the cleanliness (ie not leaving old chips and previous occupants' lunch boxes under the bed). The bathroom was clean but there was only a tiny drop of...

Only stopped for a drink, looks lovely from the outside, we walk in to a saloon type bar with a snooker table and about 10 drunks with trousers down under their pants swearing at the top of their voices. We were looking at staying somewhere for the night........ drank up and left.

This is very well priced, great location and perfect for an overnight stop. It is over a pub but that was not an issue at all. They also made sure my bike was safe overnight. Great Breakfast, Friendly staff, Clean room; What more do you need!

We needed an overnight stop in Frome, and this worked out very well. The room was charming, attractive and clean, and there was no disturbance from staying at a pub. We were made very welcome, and the room rates for B&B are reasonable. It's in a very quiet street and area of this attractive old town. Certainly recommended, and would...

I was hesitant to book at the Sun Inn having read some of the reviews on here, but I am very glad I did. The location was fantastic in central Frome and we were given a key to the main door to let ourselves in late at night - very secure. The room was well laid out with two single...

“Be aware that this is an inn so there may be some late night noise on Friday or Saturday night, but not excessive for the area and make sure you have the full breakfast.”
