We love wimbleball! It is stunningly beautiful, never too busy and with fantastic, easy to use facilities. We come here regularly for kayaking, paddle boarding and sailing as well as hiring bikes in the winter to circumnavigate the lake. The cafe has lovely food and all the staff are incredibly helpful and friendly. I'd rather keep it a secret though....

We camped for a birthday party in the field at the bottom, the events team were brilliant. Go paddle boarding and jump in! Amazing views. Get your bike out and go for a ride! Ideal walk with family and friends.

This is a lovely family oriented place. There is something for everyone. There is a cafe and toilets and lots of lovely walks. There are other lakes associated with this one around the country with similar facilities. The views across the lake are wonderful. There is lots of walking with dogs and children. There was a party of schoolchildren camping on...

A lovely day out stunning views with disabled access great walks with the family or dogs. We were with our 4yr old grandson who enjoyed it greatly, only wish there were a few more benches along the pathway as it was quite along way to the dam from the car park.

We came here today to enjoy the views and walk the dog after the day on Exmoor. We were surprised to find it so very busy, cars everywhere and lots of noise etc. It cost £2 to park for 2 hours (this was the minimum). We were not camping. There is a lovely little café, toilets, and icecream on sale....

Beautiful area however we felt the campsite could do with improved facilities for the campers. There were no loos actually in the camping field which meant a walk to the cafe block. Also 2 showers and one basin on the site was not really enough, there were a further 2 showers over with the toilets. The showers were kept clean...

We booked two pitches for our large family gathering of four adults and four children ranging from 2-9 years old and were allocated number S13 and S14 which were ideally located as they were close to all the amenities. The campsite facilities were excellent (nice and hot showers which is always a bonus!) and the cafe had a really lovely...

Arrived Friday afternoon in the pouring rain and decided against fighting to erect the tent in the gales we headed over to the camping office and asked if the glamping pods might be free! Staff were friendly and accommodating and booked us into one of there pods for our weekend. We were very happy with our stay, all camping facilities...

My family and I had an amazing 3 days at Wimbleball Lake. The staff were so friendly and helpful and couldn't have done more to make us feel welcome. The campsite had very spacious pitches and great views. We had lovely walks by the lake with stunning scenery and watching the wildlife. With all the activities on offer we really...
