Very nice place with nice grounds. Seemed a bit under-used and under-staffed as we had to wait quite a while to find someone to check us in. Because of this we ate at a pub down the road. Breakfast was gorgeous though so perhaps we should have dined in the evening.

Super location, really nice and helpfull staff. Food was very good, made our day run very smoothly. Everyone enjoyed the afternoon there. Very close to both wells and Glastonbury, ample parking and good disabled access. Very pleased with all of it.

I feel so naïve; my Garmin map of the UK listed Coxely Vineyard as a winery. Upon arriving at the vineyard we found that they do most of their business as a B&B and that, most years, they fail to produce the grapes needed to make wine. Well, to give Garmin some credit, there is at vineyard at Coxley Vineyard....

Having read the very mixed reviews on here I have to confess I had great reservations about spending two nights over the recent bank holiday break. But you have to see past the tiredness of the decor and sympathise with owner who are clearly trying their level best in a difficult climate. Set in a stunning location, the premises are...

'Average' seems a bit unfair, but 'very good' would also be unfair. That said, for £60 B&B it's certainly good value. As others have said, the decor certainly needs updating. It's very, very tired. However, my room was comfortable and had a proper free range hairdrier - not one of those awful things with a spring for a lead attached...

Had a one night stop here as the hotel was very close to Wells. The hotel was built in the 1980s and it looks like it's not had any work done since. The rooms were very much showing their age: peeling flowery wallpaper, mould in the bath sealant and tile grouting and gaps in the windows that you could park...

We were a tired party of 8 cyclists having ridden from Bristol to Wells in pouring rain. the first I pressing isn't great but the war thank cleanliness of the room was really welcoming. The staff couldn't do enough to make us feel welcome and cosy. Free crisps int he brand when I realised I had forgotten my tooth rush...

Was put off by reviews but was more than happy. Heating in our room didn't work but there was an electric heater which was great. We had clean sheets and towels everyday even tho we was working nights. The tv broke and they went out and bought a new one the next day. Staff were great and friendly, breakfast was...

The reception area is a little unwelcoming and we had to telephone the hotel number to get some response as the counter bell did not appear to be working. Our room had seen better days and the bathroom was definitely in need of some T.L.C. but it was clean, spacious, warm day and night, well equipped and the bed was...

We stayed last night and have to say we were very pleasantly surprised having read the mixed reviews. The size of the room was great, the bed was very comfortable, having a chair and chaise longue, (so somewhere for us both to sit) was a bonus, the bath was one of the longest I have come across in a B&B,...

“We had 3 rooms as we have a large family and noticed that some have had improvements where the owner has been able to do this i.e. new bathroom. Having said that we stayed in one that opened up onto the courtyard and was not part of the main building which we would happily stay in again despite its slightly tired appearance.”

“Almost all the rooms are on ground level, so a bit like a motel. Some have French doors onto the courtyard and tables outside, so a nice touch in good weather. Shower is a bit naff. Stick with the bath.”
