We stayed for one night on a walking holiday with our dog. They charged £20 for the dog which was steep but there aren't many dog friendly options around. Our room was tiny with little space around the double bed and the bathroom barely big enough for the shower, sink and toilet. The continental breakfast was ok but nothing special.

What a great find! We needed an overnight stay in Bridgwater and I found this place. Right in the town with off-road parking and breakfast for bargain price of £67. On arrival we were shown to room 6 across the courtyard and up the spiral staircase in an old building. The room had everything we needed. Coffee, tea, hot chocolate...

We found this hotel more of a B&B than a hotel, we had booked a Superior double room which had... paint peeling on the bathroom ceiling, wall paper starting to peel in the bedroom, curtains not fixed correctly to the tracks, only 1 out of the 3 windows would open also the frames were very dirty. The continental style breakfast...

The place looks very impressive from the outside, very conveniently located in the centre of Bridgewater in a tranquil backwater opposite St. Mary's church. We were greeted by the lovely Lisa who made us feel incredibly welcome and explained a bit about the building and its history. There was a large party booked in the same night as us and...

Stayed for 1 night en route from Cornwall. Lovely old building. Friendly, welcoming staff. Given a separate 2 bed annexe. Ideal as we had our dog with us. Pretty rooms, comfortable beds, powerful shower and tea making facilities. Buffet breakfast was varied and generous. Nice area with plenty of restaurants. Very good value. Would stay again. We ate at the...

We purchased this very reasonably priced break with few expectations apart from having somewhere to lay our heads in an interesting building fir a,few night. On the plus side the hotel is located centrally with a free court yard parking. There is a beautiful church opposite. The rooms have everything you need and were kept cosy .The uneven surfaces were...

We spent a Saturday night in this hotel before visiting friends on the Sunday. It was a very old coaching inn full of character. Our room was across the courtyard in a converted attic. Although the room was clean, warm and comfortable, I would not recommend the attic room if you have any walking difficulties. Steep winding staircase and uneven...

A decent hotel, very reasonably priced and in a great location in the center of Bridgwater. It is very simple but I had a spacious room and a very decent breakfast. It's not luxury but it's clean and a big comfortable bed.

The parking was good, no problem to get into the car park and there is on road parking to the front of the hotel too. I arrived after my partner and was surprised that he had been allowed to check into our room before my arrival, however, this was not a major problem. We went up to the room and...

Stayed at the old Vicarage for 1 night) my son and daughter in law stayed for 3 nights) I was a little concerned after reading some of the reviews but the room was lovely, the service was brilliant - all the staff were really lovely and couldn't do enough to help make our stay as pleasant as possible. The room...
