We were scrambling to find a room on a Saturday night as our plans fell through at another establishment at the last minute. After trying 4 or 5 establishments, one recommended The Boat and Anchor. They called for us and we spoke to a gentlemen who held 2 rooms for us and gave us directions. We loved the pub atmosphere... More

The Boat & Anchor is a lovely little gem tucked away on the outskirt of Bridgwater, we were greeted by a lovely guy who was the Assistant Manager, David. He took us straight to our room which was well equipped with a queen size bed, amazing en-suite bathroom with walk in shower and toiletries, flat screen TV with all channels... More

A three night stay in Somerset and the Boat and Anchor turned out to be an excellent choice. Just a mile off the M5 its a good base for visiting anywhere in the county. The room was good and the food both for breakfast and in the evening was plentiful and of a really good standard. On top of that... More

We booked, last minute, and set off from home 2 hrs later. We arrived at the Inn just after dinner time and received a very warm welcome from the landlord, and his African Grey parrot. We were shown to our, spotless, room upstairs and were left to settle in. Everything was to hand and after sorting our stuff we went... More

I stayed here back in April for work. I was pleasantly surprised. The staff were very friendly, rooms were clean and had a nice view looking over the canal. The food was basic but very good, which is perfect for me. I'd definitely recommend.

Lovely place to stay. As I have an old labrador we had a lovely ground floor room. The room was very clean and comfortable and had clean towels each day. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Right on the canal. Thank you to Mike and the Staff.

Was a wonderful day as the venue, staff & food were superb. Very friendly place with a good selection of food & drinks. Room for reception was good size even when disco was set up. Very scenic area with good access to M5 & Bridgwater area. Delighted.
