Spent two nights there, from booking in to booking out, no one showed any interest in us at all, or asked our opinion about anything. As two infirm older guests, no one showed us to our room or offered assistance with bags to get up the stairs in the annex, we managed though. The room was not very dated, poorly...

Dear Frank B Thank you for your feedback. I am sorry you didn't enjoy your stay, as many of your comments do not reflect the level of facilities and service that we provide daily. To answer a couple of your points, our afternoon tea offers a lovely chocolate fondue with fruit to dip at the end of the substantial offering...

The Hotel was hard to find from the main road as not sign posted. The drive way up to the hotel is in poor condition so take care. Once you go through the front door, reception is not that obvious. We had to go looking for it as it is not straight in front of you as you enter! We...

Dear ceilidh2016 Thanks you for your comments. I am sorry you felt our housekeeping department was inadequate, and apologise for the shortcomings during your stay, as the majority of feedback from guests is quite positive on the hotel cleanliness. The shower is the boardroom does have a mind of it's own and I think we will need to have a...

Booked my colleagues into this hotel after checking out on trip advisor - unfortunately they didn't have a good stay and have therefore asked me to never book here again. The shower was freezing, one of the gents had a cold shower the other luke warm after running it for quite a while. The rooms were large but extremely dull...

Dear Samantha P I am sorry about the cold showers your colleagues endured recently, but can assure you that we have now fitted new units to both showers to fully resolve the issues with the older style thermostatic showers being hard to set to the desired temperature. The four poster rooms that they were booked in are very large and...

We've stayed in several "country house" hotels and this is one of the few without a modern annex at the rear. Stayed in 2 rooms with partner and 3 children. Staff very friendly and the food great. Dinner maybe a little formal for young children but they did have a good kids menu and the oversized dessert was popular. And...

Another lovely stay at Haughton Hall. Service and food were excellent as always. Rooms are a little tired but very comfortable, and it is well worth paying the extra for a Manor room. The only negative was that we had a lovely large room but only one chair, whch was a little frustrating. However, the whole experience was very pleasant...

We stayed here in the Telford Suite and would recommend spending the extra money! The welcome from the receptionist was very warm and the room was spotless and very spacious. Breakfast was equally amazing the the night staff couldn't of been more helpful.

This is a hotel that under promises and over delivers. Definitely my preferred way round. We've just had a weekend in the hotel and enjoyed every minute of it. Booked in on very attractive terms and the hotel exceeded our expectations all the way through. Dinner was excellent on both nights. I asked for something not on the menu, that...

We stayed in a Four Poster Room in the original restored (grade 2 listed) building so expected creaky uneven floors which is offset by the retained/restored features of the building. The room is large and with double aspect windows overlooking the grounds/ lawns and pond. (40 desks would fit easily into this room when it was a school!) The bathroom...

Stayed in the Manor room No 28, by myself for business. The lighting was poor ( could not read ). The Wifi was poor also. The bed was very comfortable and was a spacious room & bathroom. Main meal and breakfast was very good. Although I did find faults, I found that I had a relaxing stay and would go...
