Having read some bad feedback, went as usual with an open mind. On booking in was offered an optional upgrade to a suite. Was able to view both and opted for the boardroom suite. The extra payable was well worth it, a really large suite with comfy red leather seats , large tv with all sky channels and plenty of...

We love it here! We had a lovely suite and took the children! They loved running around the room - it was huge! We have stayed here many times and the kids love it too! The pool is lovely, the football golf was brilliant fun and you could wander the grounds for hours! The staff are very friendly and they...

I stayed here twice with my daughter, to and from a visit down south, the ideal in between spot. We stayed in suites both nights and were very comfortable. Nice little touches with homemade biscuits and a pretty good sky TV range, WiFi excellent, streaming quality. The leisure facilities were over and above what I expected, food good with well...

The hotel is quite a grand country house set in extensive grounds, giving it a lovely rural setting, less than a mile's walk from the centre of Shifnal, We had several relatives staying here for a wedding at another hotel nearby. The hotel has some lovely rooms - my brother had a large room with a four poster bed and...

Dear Ashd0wner Thanks for your review. I must say I'm a little surprised by your feedback about the food as there are many choices for main courses that are not from the 'comfort' food selection, but we have to cater for all guests including many weekday business guests who prefer such items. The breakfast selection is being reviewed currently and...

We had afternoon tea at haughton hall yesterday and it was incredible. The cakes were all made on the premises by their very talented pastry chef and the service from our friendly waitress was second to none. Neither of us are small eaters but we still ended up with a doggie bag home. The sandwiches were well thought out and...

Dear Ronny A Many thanks for your 5 star review. Our afternoon tea is very popular and with all of the cakes and pastries being home-made, makes such a difference. I'm very pleased the chocolate fondue was well received too. Hope you will return later in the year again for another treat. Regards Nicola Mason General Manager

Came here for a spa day with my partner, via buy a gift. The hotel and grounds are lovely, very picturesque. The spa facilities were good, unfortunately the sauna was broken on our visit however we got to use the steam room and jacuzzi which we pretty much had to ourselves for a while as it was quiet. Medium sized...

Lovely old country house hotel down it's own long driveway. It's handy for the main roads, but feels really quite isolated. We were staying in what was obviously an extension and the room had a bit of a 1980's feel to it, including a "nice" coloured bathroom suite. However, we got a good DBB deal here via Travelzoo, so couldn't...
