Stayed for one night to break journey from Scotland to Devon. Lovely comfortable country House hotel. Hotel was full, but it was very quiet overnight, slept really well. Beautiful location, looking over a pretty valley to the hills beyond. Staff friendly and helpful. Food superb.

From my first email contact it was clear that the staff considered the needs of each guest - I was offered the 'perfect room' for a dog: the Terrace Room, newly refurbished, with French windows into the garden (much appreciated at 2.00 in the morning!)....More
Just spent a couple of days here, a fantastic location, beautiful views of the Valley turning to Autumn, quite magical, we slept in one of the coach houses and left the curtain open to see a super view each morning on waking up.
My wife and I chose to go this location because of the hotel and the recommendations we read (+ the marketing as mentioned by a previous reviewer).
So our expectations were high.
Unfortunately they weren't quite met.
