My partner had already stayed here in the past. But it was a first visit for me. A warm welcome from John and a lovely tray of tea and cakes was a bonus. We had a very large room with a separate kitchenette area. It was just perfect and very quiet as we were the only visitors the one night... More

Shelagh and John offer a unique blend of hospitality at Wenlock Pottery. This is a working pottery, but if John answers the phone he will make you feel so special and welcome. Shelagh, down to earth, but equally hospitable, and quick off the mark to offer a welcome drink-regular or naughty! This was our second stay, and nothing has changed,... More

We drove into the courtyard and were welcomed by Shelagh and Michael. Our room was directly off the courtyard so easy to get things in from the car. Shelagh offered us a welcome drink and arranged a breakfast time. We were on our own at the pottery overnight. Being up a driveway meant it was very quiet (not that there... More

Wonderful location in a corner of Much Wenlock. A very charming, quirky property with 3 large bedrooms which had everthing you need for your stay (together with a bowl of chocolates- a nice extra touch!).

Just back from a weekend in lovely Much Wenlock, for the Wenlock Poetry Festival - an excellent experience. Stayed with my poet partner at the pottery, and we had SUCH a lovely experience. Enormous double room with our own front door and little kitchenette area, really comfy bed and our hosts were so welcoming, they couldn't do enough for us.... More

It was a while ago now that we stayed here, but we both really enjoyed it.You are situated in a small village, which has a few pubs and resturants, all of which are excellent. You obviously need transport to get about, but you are in a good area to explore. You are made very welcome, with a drink when you arrive and the rooms are of a... We stayed in the well appointed and extremely spacious Wenlock Room. All communications and service before and throughout our stay were welcoming, friendly, thorough, yet unobtrusive. We were made to feel very at home and comfortable. Everything you may need and more were made available. Central to the area. A full choice of breakfasts on offer. Well worth a visit.... More

We had our yuletide party at this fine establishment- a thoroughly enjoyable 5/5 evening from start to finish - a very warm greeting( and mulled cider) at the start a brief tour of the workshop, before being let loose on the wheels ourselves - afterwards what followed was a truly scrumptious serving of gastronomical delights - I alone stayed at... Attended for a hen party, having a go at pottery. We had tea and cake provided for us which was delicious and Sheila had even gone to the trouble of buying a "hen party" helium balloon - very thoughtful. We each got to make a small pot / mug etc under great supervision. Our own creations on the practice wheels... More

A one night stop but a most welcoming stay. Met by both hosts (plus a friendly woof from the resident canine). Offered a naughty tipple or tea/coffee. Took the former as you do! Room was....well...roomy! Really nice, all the necessary amenities. Had our own access from the courtyard to the room via a short stairway where there was our own... More
