Stayed for one night, great room that has been recently refurbished by someone who knows how to design a hotel room without ruining the overall feel of the building. Food was excellent as was the service washed down with a good pint of ale. Nice to see a proper inn doing a great job, wish you all the best for the...

I was the first person to stay in one of the newly furnished bedrooms. Every thing is new and the power shower was excellent. Played golf at the town's golf course then came back for an excellent steak dinner and a few of the cask ale pints. Left after a really nice full English. The whole place has oak-beamed ceilings....

The Talbot offered a welcome surprise to a previous visit a few years ago. On Good Friday we all thoroughly enjoyed the lunch time menu in comfortable surroundings - I can highly recommend goats cheese and walnut salad from the specials menu ! . We would all admit we are fussy and I have an allergy so admittedly a hard...

Called in for Saturday lunch. The food was fabulous and great value. Recently renovated to a very high standard and still keeping an area for the dogs who were well looked after with water and biscuits. Highly recommended. Will be back for the Steak night on Wednesday!

Just come back from a fantastic meal at the Newley refurbished hotel. The bar area and restaurant have been completely transformed into a modern but cozy place to relax for a drink or a fantastic meal. New landlords Stewart and Diane make perfect hosts in every way. Welcoming, friendly and love a chat. Diane showed me one of the hotel rooms...

After a short wait of about 20 mins our food arrived. My beef was very tough and most of it got left, husbands was ok. Roast potatoes and yorkshires soggy...

We were staying just outside the small town and saw this pub on passing as it looked oldie worldie. We called in for a drink and the deco inside matched the outside. Very homely atmosphere with a lovely coal fire. Staff were friendly.

The Talbot is such an exciting building it should be fabulous. But it needs a lot of love (and money) spending on it before I would consider taking Mrs T with me there. TV didn't work and nobody fixed it for the following day. Tried to draw curtain and pole came of in my hand. In fact no one entered...

We visited here for lunch having had a very good lunch here some months ago. We only wanted a snack, a baguette or something similar but were surprised to find that the only sandwiches/baguettes available were meat. My wife is a vegetarian so we asked if they could make a cheese or tuna sandwich. The lady behind the bar checked...

Booked 2 night stay with Groupon way back in May 2016 thinking we had a good offer for the Bank Holiday in August ,choosing to ignore bad reviews. Pleasant lady took the booking and confirmed the details via email. Two weeks ago we discovered a couple of calls from an unrecognised numbers but no messages left and by off chance...
