This is the second time we have stayed at the bell in the last two months, friendly and welcoming staff. Dog friendly, and nothing is to much trouble if asked for. A good breakfast to start your day. Our room was clean, tea and coffee for us to make if we needed it. toiletries for the use of. Would definitely...

Good location for leisurely stroll to Witney town. Booked as cheap and quite last minute availability. Staff friendly on arrival, relaxed about payment. Lots of tea/coffee available. Small TV. Room very hot- windows quite difficult to open. Shower small and bathroom can do with a deep clean. I think they just gave it quick wipe round and bleach down the...

Terrible..... room on arriving was freezing cold, (no.3) I went into the ensuite bathroom after being shown to room to be presented with a cobwebbed , unclean room that went beyond dusting etc to having hairs on the tiles and even the debris of someone using the toilet! The shower cubicle in this double room (no bath) was very small,...

We stayed at the Bell from Monday to Friday. To be honest we weren't there much as we had a big family reunion and only needed bed and breakfast. The breakfasts were wonderful and really set us up for the day. The down side was having our bedroom over the bar. We were glad that we didn't stay over the...

I went for a carvery last sunday and the first thing I saws the beef- well, It was lovely and pink- something you don't see so much of in these days of health and safety!. The food is good "mumsy" cooking, which is just what good pub food should be, all in all I really enjoyed my lunch therer and...

Warm welcome, very comfortable room and bed. Immaculately clean en-suite shower room. Easy to find, right in the centre of the village BUT car parking very limited and near the church so roads around under greater pressure on Sundays. Not accessible for anyone with difficulty with stairs as the access to the bedrooms is around the back of pub and...

Very basic accommodation but the friendly staff more than made up for the lack of fancy frills and elegance. Great location for all the local sights. Local ales available and a decent well equipped beer garden which we couldn't access fully as the weather let us down. Would go again !

Just come back from Bell Inn. Had a lovely stay. Very oldy Worldy pub in a fabulous location to get to Oxford. It's a 12th century place and full of character. Not badly priced at 60 a night. BUT we were in room 3 which had a small bed which was only three quarter size and not enough room. So...

We stayed for one night in May 2016. Yes it can be smokey as you first walk towards the pub and the parking is not easy on site but there is loads of unlimited off street parking. However, the room is full of character and a lovely large bath. Great value accommodation and lovely freshly home cooked food. Full English...

What a charming traditional 'Old English' find. Tucked away in a delightful, beautifully kept, village setting. It was just what we needed after a noisy long day at the Air Tattoo. The staff couldn't have been more welcoming. It is a small old stone Inn complete with beams and some old flag flooring, open hearths and wood burners and we...
