Leisurely lunch with good food, no hurry. Yummy doughnuts for pud. Partridge and venison + veggie option on the menu. Only down side was the kale which was great was extra and very small portion. Veg is not expensive to bring to the table so why such a small amount.

Visited on a friend's recommendation, while on a Saturday afternoon drive around the Cotswolds and was pleasantly impressed by this award-winning pub. We were welcomed by friendly, relaxed staff who were attentive during our visit but not intrusive. The atmosphere was delightfully calm and it wasn't a forced 'country pub' vibe. It looks like it accommodate lots of people for...

Thank you so much for your lovely review. We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed your time here and enjoyed our homemade relish! I am sorry the fires weren't built up quite enough for such cold weather. We will take note and make sure they are roaring while it's so chilly outside. We hope to see you again soon....

We called in for dinner whilst having a weekend away. Unfortunately the place was empty and with no background music it made it seem like an uneasy atmosphere. The food was ok but they had ran out of many things. May be better on other nights but could not recommend based on our experience.

I had been looking forward to a visit to this restaurant, as it had been on my list to visit for a long time, but left disappointed. I wish I had gone elsewhere to celebrate my 40th. The welcome was great, but this service was not followed up in the restaurant. The quality of the dishes was mixed. Of the...

We visited for lunch and had the game set menu. The food was delicious in particular the venison for main, and bramley apple parfait for dessert. Quality at a fair price for highest standards of ingredients and cooking. The pub is welcoming and service is good, and accommodating for our 7 month old son and pushchair.

Maybe a cold Wednesday evening with only 4 tables of two is not the best night for sparkling food and service, but with the prices charged here they should be able to keep-up the standards regardless. My wife order a glass of white wine which was served at room temperature and had to be changed for a chilled wine -...

Based on a recommendation from a friend, we booked an overnight stay at The Kingham Plough as a base for a much needed escape from our own catering and hospitality business. We reviewed the rooms online and settled for room 7 in the annex. We received a lovely warm welcome from Nick, who showed us to our room. The room...

We have been to The Kingham Plough twice now. It is comfortable, friendly and not at all pretentious. I love the philosophy and enjoy going to a restaurant that actually does make everything themselves from scratch.

we were invited to a 50th birthday party at this (fab) pub, we had champagne to start which was a great way to start the evening then shown to the table, the wines arrived and after reading the menu , I decided to have white wine, it arrived in wine buckets, and once poured couldn't wait to try it, to...
