Could not fault the basics, The bed and The breakfast both were very good but the room especially the shower was not good, painted tiles that were peeling off and the extract fan not working properly. The other thing that was very annoying was the TV this was very difficult to operate with two remote controls.

Stayed 2 nights for business. Very friendly hosts with a warm welcome. Room was fine. Shower was a bit hard to handle but water was hot and pressure high. Breakfast was excellent - I had the full English and it nearly defeated me. Had dinner in the bar... simple fare but the steak pie was full of tender beef. Can't...

rooms ok. Wi-if is a weak signal (worked for Android and tablet, but not Apple products). Food is good. Service is good. Stairs up to rooms are "high" steps. hotel is right in the centre of the town. Parking for about 4 to 5 cars. Local parking lot a short walk away. This Hotel is an old Coaching hotel, from...

We needed a cost effective stay over as we needed to be in Brize Norton very early, this hotel was booked last minute without much thought other than the price. We had 2 rooms for our family, although the they do provide family rooms too. The hotel rooms have been partly refurbished (ie some have been modernised). But those that...

Lovely place, only stayed the one night. Only criticism is no sauce on the table for breakfast and wasn't offered any, would've liked more tea and toast also. Good value for money, would happily stay there again

Mark and Alison are fantastic hosts who were very accommodating and made our stay very pleasant. The building has lots of character and perfectly placed to enjoy Faringdon. My final comment is not related to the Bell Hotel, but if you are ever in Faringdon make sure you get over to the Volunteer and have a game of Aunt Sally!

A very old building so don't be alarmed by the uneven floors, ceilings etc. This is not a 4* property but the quirkiness adds to it's character. The room was large & comfortable, decent size TV and an OK shower. We were located at the front of the property and on a summer's Friday evening, the external noise continued into the early hours. The menu was varied...

The Bell hotel was built in the fifteen hundreds so it's not new, the floors are uneven, the walls are not straight it's a proper medieval building. It was used in the English civil war and the town is steeped in history. There is a lovely church just across the road and the Folly Tower a few minutes walk up...
