.. and extremely glad that we did. Lovely hotel with warm and friendly staff. Chose due to fact that it is pet friendly... and it is such. Food is glorious and prices are very reasonable. Well worth a stay or three!

Popped in here for breakfast with a group of 9 friends, so glad we did. Relaxed, friendly atmosphere made us feel welcome as soon as we arrived. Food was fab and service was excellent. Would highly recommend and will definitely return soon. :) xx

We had a lovely stay, we all enjoyed our dinner and lots of drinks which are very reasonably priced. We also stayed in the hotel. Whist the rooms seem a bit outdated and the beds were not the most comfortable (maybe I'm a bit fussy) the prices were reasonable, the hotel is very clean and the staff are brilliant.

We have visited many times over the years whilst visiting relatives in Wooler. We had a lovely lunch there again today and our dog George loved his treats too. The staff are friendly and so helpful. The hotel maybe what some people called "dated" but as far as we are concerned it has character and after staying in many hotels... More

I have never left a negative review in my life and I do realize that this is not a Michelin starred restaurant, but dear me, I also think that you can expect some sort of standard when you go out to eat. Unfortunately, the standard at this restaurant was very poor. Where do I start? Having entered the restaurant, we... More

visited for lunch with two friends 22/10/16 Three different mains were ordered, cod with chips, steak pie with chips and pannini with chips. All were very nice, well cooked and ample portions. The one criticism would be the "skinny"chips!.These let an otherwise excellent meal down.We will certainly be returning to the Tankerville but lets hope for proper chips!!!

Booked 2 night stay for a wedding nearby. The exterior of the building is attractive and the welcome from the staff friendly and efficient. The staff all weekend were excellent. The interior of the pub however has seen grander days. It was clean and tidy but very tired and dated. This continued into the bedrooms . Good size but very... More

We booked the Tankerville for our wedding reception and were so pleased with how well it all worked. Duncan, the manager, was so helpful and great at keeping things calm during the planning process. The function room was perfect and it was so good that we were able to book out the whole inn for our wedding and guests. There... More
