We booked a table for a busy Bank Holiday weekend evening meal. I would suggest booking as it was very busy, always a good sign. We got 6 tapas to share which was well more than enough. The food was really good and the staff are lovely. We were served by a great lad called Jack who provided impeccable service,...

Stayed here for two nights. Rooms spacious and en suite. Tea and coffee in room. Breakfast was lovely and staff were attentive and pleasant. Lovely place in beautiful countryside. Tapas in the bar in the evening also very nice.

We found this quirky hotel quite by chance and what a find! The hotel had just been taken over by Bill, and of course Sam the dog, and we found him and his staff very informative and friendly. At breakfast and in the evening when we dined on the excellent tapas selection, the service was quick and efficient, and even...

Stayed just one night...rooms are comfortable and provide all that's needed. Our host was charming, he had just taken over the hotel a week ago. Breakfast is probably one of the best we've had. Choice of fruit juices, cereals, fresh fruit, yoghurt, toast and a choice of bacon, sausage etc cooked to order. The new owner says lots to be...

Myself, partner, brother and brother in law visited on a Saturday afternoon with 2 small children for an afternoon drink. We asked for high chairs but only one was available so the young lad went over to another pub and got us another which he didn't have to do! Now that's service! We all had a different cocktail and to...

Second time we've stayed here and enjoyed it thoroughly on both occasions. The quirky decor and varied style of rooms makes this place very different in a good way. Friendly staff together with an excellent Italian restuarant immediately across from the hotel, make this place a definite stopover when visiting Wooler.

What a lovely place, from the inside tree with fairy lights-love fairy lights, to the service- lovely people , to the food. Fresh and tasty food, lots of it, couldn't eat it all. Great deals and a lesson in foil ducks, so that left over chicken even made our dog happy!!

My partner and I had been at chillingham castle for the night, after being let down by our hotel we were told to try this place...no answer, so we called into the Italian restaurant for info on local hotels, the women who was closing up for the night was very helpful (cant remember her name but she was lovely and...
