Haven't stayed at the hotel but have been to the Bistro several times and never been disappointed! Service and quality of food are excellent. Only open Thursday, Friday and Saturday at present. Great views of the coast from most parts of the restaurant.

Visited for two nights and stayed in an annex room separate to the main hotel which was excellent for us as we had two dogs which were made to feel very welcome, as were we by Tegan, Rob and their team. Our room was spacious, clean and had fabulous views of the beach. A bench to sit on and admire...

Top notch...we couldn't have wished to stay anywhere better, with great choices and high standard of food for breakfast, presented beautifully, lovely friendly staff and great service with spacious and comfortable rooms - we stayed in Big Harcar on the 2nd floor - with an amazing view....even binoculars were supplied. The eye for detail was so impressive...real thought and care...

I haven't stayed in a B&B/small hotel in the UK for quite a while and St Aidan's was definitely an improvement. Spotlessly clean, great food and a wonderful location would certainly draw me back. Having only seen one room I can only surmise that room rates are based on view or lack of, bathroom and bed size and that's fair...

Delightful, warm, friendly, efficient - could go on and on. We took two dogs with us and they were made very welcome, they are allowed into the bar area so we had our breakfasts in there which was perfect. We stayed in one of the two annexe rooms which is ideal so not disturbing other guests when the dogs needed...

My wife and I stayed for 3 nights recently and were very impressed with our room ('Longstone') which had great sea and beach views and of the castle in the distance and was a good size with plenty of space. The owners Rob and Tegan are fantastic hosts supported by a great team. Food and service were excellent. The location...

We stayed on night in BIG HARCAR a room in the eves reached via fairly steep stairs. The weather was unusually icy cold and raining. The bedroom was of a good size pleasantly decorated, comfy bed, but missing a couple of comfy armchairs and full length mirror. There is a very good view from a window out towards the Castle....

Lovely room, super friendly welcome. Feels like you are welcomed individually, not just another booking. Definitely worth eating in the bistro (book in advance:)) - absolutely delicious, with sea views and a lovely log-burning stove. Great breakfast, too - and even a great playlist in the restaurant/breakfast room. A brilliant base for exploring the castles, beaches, etc. Will definitely be...

Yes, we stayed four nights over mid April .We were very lucky with the weather, and each day went out on a trip. This inlcuded the Farne Islands, Anwyck Castle and Gardens, and last but not least Cragside. The Hotel was very well placed for visits in Northumberland, and as a bonus included fantastic sea views, the sound of the...

We stayed here over Easter weekend. It was a late booking. You won't find this place on any of the hotel booking sites so the owners, Rob and Tegan rely on being discovered - we did so on Trip Advisor and the reviews were very favourable to say the least so deciding to stay there was a no-brainer. It is...
