We totally loved our stay - from the first minute we walked through the door we were greeted with a warm smile and nothing was too much trouble - this continued throughout our stay. Great advice on good places to visit and also the best places to get the best photographs. Our room was very comfortable, and very homely and...

This was our first visit to Northumberland and St Cuthberts was the perfect place to stay. Our room was lovely, very comfortable and had everything we could possibly need for our stay. Jeff was a mine of information on where to go, what to see and which restaurants to go to for our evening meal, he even made the bookings...

St Cuthbert's House is a beautiful building within a very short distance of Northumberland's most interesting historical attractions and spectacular coastline, but that only tells part of the story. It's a bed and breakfast, not a hotel, and Jeff and Jill have converted an old chapel to the highest standards possible, with comfortable bedrooms and well-appointed bathrooms and some very...

Thanks for your review. We're glad you enjoyed the house-concert too. Hopefully, next time you come our bees might be in better shape and give us some of their spare honey!

This was our first stay at St Cuthberts, it was everything we had expected having read their excellent website, and more! The building itself is stunning, the atmosphere calm and welcoming. Jeff and Jill were the best type of hosts who were full of interesting information and advice, as and when required. Never over fussy but always managing to show...

This was our first visit here. The website was very informative so we were expecting a great place. We weren't disappointed. Jeff & Jill were great hosts. You are made to feel very welcome. Our room was immaculate and there is everything in it. Even some spare toiletries if you forgot something. Jeff was very informative about the area and...

This was our first visit to St Cuthberts House, staying for 6 nights. From the first welcome by Jeff on arrival to the last excellent breakfast cooked by Jill on the day we left it was good - beyond anything we have experienced in a B&B (or many hotels). I feel a bit sorry for other B&Bs in the area...

We had a terrific stay, attention to detail combined with a personal touch made this a place we would want to return to. Breakfast was superb, from the porridge to the kippers. Hosts were incredibly informed about the local area but the icing on the cake was the music evening which co-incided with our stay. A folk duo who performed...

This was our second stay with Jeff and Jill at st. Cuthbert's house. They are great hosts, helpful and friendly without being intrusive. The rooms are immaculately clean and very comfortable. The breakfasts were delicious with a great variety to choose from. We were delighted that they lived up to the extremely high standards they met in our first stay....

We booked 3 nights in this B&B in a converted former church after reading the very comprehensive, informative website. There was also much helpful information displayed both in our room and in the comfy sitting room, and Jeff was eager to provide any further info wanted. There were shelves of books and DVDs should the weather make staying in an...

Thanks for your review, and for the comment about the uncomfortable bathrobe. We wish you had mentioned it during your stay, and allowed us to change it for you. But of course, we’re very sorry if it wasn’t to your liking. Your main ‘drawback’ seems a little unfair to us. Following our telephone conversation, you went away to look at...
