We decided to have a couple of nights away and couldn't have found a more friendly and cosy place to stay. The staff were extremely attentive and accommodating. Emma on reception was an absolute star and nothing was too much trouble. Food amazing and plentiful. A wonderfully relaxing stay in beautiful gardens and surroundings.

A lovely hotel with a great staff and very dog friendly - except the £10 per night, per dog extra charge. Eat in the restaurant one night and the food was excellent Really enjoyed the 2 night break and a characterful hotel.

My husband and I spent two nights here 26th and 27th March 2017. This is a lovely hotel in a castle with loads of character. Its a family run business and the staff could not have been nicer. We had our evening meal here both nights and thoroughly enjoyed both. The lamb was particularly good. We also enjoyed the cooked...

Stayed last week for two nights. This was a groupon offer of B&B for two nights, one dinner and welcome drinks. Our room had a dreadful view of the side of a wall, through a cracked window but this didn't really bother us. The bed was lovely and comfortable, and looked new. However, the other furniture in the room was...

We stayed only one night Emma reception person on arrival was cheerful showing us around the ground floor then to our lovely large bedroom. Yes the castle has a slightly dated feel in the bedroom (but extremely clean) bed extremely comfortable and had a very very good sleep. Meal at night was lovely though we were given a completely different...

We stayed here for just one night as a birthday present. We thought the hotel had an intimate feel and had lots of positives. Our room was very comfortable - big bed with good linen and a good supply of coffee with shortbread biscuits. There were loads of coat hangers for those on a longer stay ! There was plenty...

Hi

I have no problem with the "ambience " of Otterburn Castle Hotel, nor it's setting or location or it's staff. However, to pay an extra £7.90 for vegetables on top of a two course price of £25 seemed to be excessive - had we wanted steak that would have cost an extra £8 per person and cheese (as a desert option) would have cost an extra £8 per portion - this would have priced the cheese option as a desert at around £14 (3 cheeses). Having also recently stayed at a Country House hotel just outside Edinburgh, where there was no extra price for vegetables and cheese and where we paid two £25 for the two courses, I still maintain that at Otterburn, the extra costs acted as a distraction to the meal, fudge or a mint with coffee would have been a sweetener!!

Good afternoon VesnaSkopje,

Thank you for your question.

We would love to welcome you and your little dogs to the hotel! Otterburn Castle is the perfect location for dogs as we are surrounded by the Northumbrian countryside which is excellent for walks.

We have two rooms available for dogs - rooms 1 and 2. Room 1 is an elite room with double bed and room 2 can be made into a twin if required.

I hope this helps and we look forward to seeing you soon.

Kind regards,

Kirsty Green
