Me and my husband stayed here for 2 nights for my Birthday. Fabulous, loved it. Stayed in room 7 which was stunning, we ate there on both nights, food was excellent. Staff were very attentive and nothing was too much trouble, will definitely be returning in the future. Thanks for making my birthday extra special xx

The hotel itself is pleasant and in a good setting and the majority of the staff are lovely (especially the gentleman who works on reception and the waiters who work front of house) and the staff will go out of their way for you but unfortunately this approach was not welcomed by a senior member of staff who ruined the... Dear Sophie, I am saddened that you did not enjoy your stay with us as all of the Castle staff did enjoy having you both as guests. As a business we do expect all of our guests to pay their bill, in full, on departure. I would assume that this is the general nature of how all Hotels manage their... More

Friendly and welcoming staff in an interesting location. Rooms well equipped and clean. Interesting area with good access to local amenities in the Northumberland National Park. Excellent food and pleasant walks in grounds of castle. A most pleasantly refreshing stay, with good bargains to be had at the local Otterburn Mill!

Stayed here for one night on a groupon deal. The room was lovely and bed very comfy, and overall very quiet. The disappointment was that the hotel has lost its "Castle" feeling. If you hadn't seen the exterior you wouldn't know you were in one. There is no pub and limited places to eat in Otterburn and so felt we... More

We had two nights here and enjoyed every minute at this family run hotel. The team and management were fun , friendly , and really enthusiastic about their hotel. Nothing was too much trouble. Our spacious room was delightful : it was lovely , cosy and full of character; the bed was exceedingly comfortable and the added benefit of a... More

Lovely hotel in its own grounds. We really enjoyed our stay. We ate in the restaurant both nights and the food was first class although the menu was limited. The staff were very helpful and friendly, in particular Kevin who welcomed us and made our stay a relaxing one. Our room was very clean with a lovely comfortable bed. Would... More

Stayed 2 nights, hotel rooms very nice and spacious, beds have very heavy quilts on, much too hot and floor desperate for hoovering. Breakfast was good, standard full English available, evening meal disappointing, Lamb wasn't just rare it was raw, had to send it back and still returned raw. Staff are very friendly and helpful although they don't have enough... More

We arrived after a long drive to a very friendly welcome. Our room was lovely and big with separate bathroom. We were getting ready for a wedding and it was nice to have plenty of room, comfy chairs, full length mirror etc. The castle is stunning and the grounds are really pretty. My only criticism was the breakfast was pretty... More

First visit here this weekend and will definitely come again the rooms were fantastic staff welcoming and the food was superb. We expected a good quality room but were given a small suite with sitting room and en suite bathroom. It was so nice we hardly wanted to leave to explore the area.
