We had an overnight stay yesterday, with a 3 course meal. It really was exceptional. Firstly, the location, setting and surroundings are amazing. It's beautiful. There was a covering of snow when we visited which made it even more magical. We had a drink in the bar when we checked in and met the new head chef, Jake. After a...

An excellent country hotel. We just got home after a two night stay at the lovely castle hotel and felt it would be remiss of us not to write a review. The staff could not have been friendlier and more accommodating. It would be unfair to single anyone out but Jakes personalised menu to acknowledge our anniversary was exceptional. I...

I would not recommend the Otterburn Castle, purely because of the lack of professionalism of customer service. We booked two rooms in January 2016 for a wedding to be held in Otterburn on New Years Eve 2016, 12 MONTHS in advance. The booking was confirmed, and we were relieved for this was to be a large wedding and guest accommodation...

Me and my husband stayed here for 2 nights for my Birthday. Fabulous, loved it. Stayed in room 7 which was stunning, we ate there on both nights, food was excellent. Staff were very attentive and nothing was too much trouble, will definitely be returning in the future. Thanks for making my birthday extra special xx

The hotel itself is pleasant and in a good setting and the majority of the staff are lovely (especially the gentleman who works on reception and the waiters who work front of house) and the staff will go out of their way for you but unfortunately this approach was not welcomed by a senior member of staff who ruined the...

Dear Sophie, I am saddened that you did not enjoy your stay with us as all of the Castle staff did enjoy having you both as guests. As a business we do expect all of our guests to pay their bill, in full, on departure. I would assume that this is the general nature of how all Hotels manage their...

Friendly and welcoming staff in an interesting location. Rooms well equipped and clean. Interesting area with good access to local amenities in the Northumberland National Park. Excellent food and pleasant walks in grounds of castle. A most pleasantly refreshing stay, with good bargains to be had at the local Otterburn Mill!

Stayed here for one night on a groupon deal. The room was lovely and bed very comfy, and overall very quiet. The disappointment was that the hotel has lost its "Castle" feeling. If you hadn't seen the exterior you wouldn't know you were in one. There is no pub and limited places to eat in Otterburn and so felt we...

We had two nights here and enjoyed every minute at this family run hotel. The team and management were fun , friendly , and really enthusiastic about their hotel. Nothing was too much trouble. Our spacious room was delightful : it was lovely , cosy and full of character; the bed was exceedingly comfortable and the added benefit of a...
