I spent 3 nights here for a little solo break and the location is idyllic even if the A1 is on your doorstep. The noise from the road is so minimal I didnt even notice it whilst sat on the decking listening to the stream and watching the ducks and water voles. Yes there is nothing on site except peace... Wasn't sure about this when booking but turned out great place to stay. No first things first, this is not a site where you spend the day. It is small and lacking facilities. This is a site you use if you want a decently located base for your break. From here we explored all the area including Morpeth, Alnwick, Bamburgh,... More

We have just returned today from this site. It's an idyllic setting with wildlife and lovely views. Feeding the baby moorhens was so sweet. Julie the warden couldn't do enough for you. Asking if we wanted clean towels etc. The van was immaculate and very comfortable and well equipped with most things you need. The hot tub was amazing it... More

We stayed here from Monday 31st May to Friday 3rd June 2016. On arrival we were greeted by Julie, a very helpful, friendly site manager. Nothing was too much trouble for her. She has high standards and this was evident from the immaculately clean caravan and delightfully warm hot tub, ready for our arrival. The park is very quiet, teeming... More

We stayed here over Easter as a base for exploring Northumberland. Staff were really friendly and the site was beautiful. It's only small but it's well maintained and in a pretty spot all be it just off the A1. We were given caravan number 45 which was literally brand new and over looked a stream. We couldn't have had a... More

I stayed here with my family this last week, on the basis of its location (close to the A1, central to a number of places and people we needed to visit. We were warmly welcomed on arrival, and shown to our mobile home by a really helpful guy who made sure we knew how everything in the unit worked before... More

Just back from a long weekend at bockenfield country park. Site is very clean and tidy with a play park for kids. Yes the park is very close to the A1 but we had no problem with noise in the lodge even though we seemed to be closest to the road. The lodge was lovely with plenty of space, very modern... More

We stayed in one of the lodges at a very reasonable price. The park is small but well kept. Easy access to main routes and very near to Alnwick and Newcastle. Lots to do nearby including museums and beaches. Farm 5 minutes away and park. Morpeth is nearest town with plenty facilities. Alnwick castle is worth a visit. The lodge... More

We have just come back from a short break here, I was a little worried after seeing the last review but it was lovely. Yes it is true they do need some TLC but it is the end of the summer time so it is to be expected. The cleanliness inside was good a few cobwebs but again they are... More
