Me and my wife decided to stay here as part of our Wedding Anniversary celebrations. We travelled for Cornwall to Morpeth and used the Riverside Guest House as our base to see more of the area and National Trust properties in Northumberland and County Durham. Elaine is the most helpful of Hostesses. She was always on hand if we needed...

Lovely little guest house, doesn't look like much from the road, but once inside it's very nice, and the rooms at the back have fabulous views of the river valley. Has lots of traditional Victoria features still in place, especially liked the fact there was still a bell in the rooms to call for service (didn't try it though so...

We had a room with a view over the river and park where we enjoyed watching the world go by sitting in the bay window drinking english tea. The host, Elaine was very helpful and provided us with lots of local tips to assist in our visit, this included recommending local sites and restaurants. The room, along with Elaine, made...

Our room was very comfortable with wonderful views over the river. Christmas morning breakfast was a delight with Buck Fizz and a splendid menu. Boxing day morning I...

We had a one night stay here for a group of 10 cyclists en route between London and Edinburgh. The beds were comfortable, the breakfast substantial and the welcome welcoming. Elaine was a friendly host and there was good safe bicycle storage for our bikes both in the house and in the garden out the back. I would stay here...

We stayed for one night in a river side room which was very nice. Unfortunately Elaine wasn't there when we stayed, but the room and breakfast were very good. The only issue is the 'on- street' parking and carrying bags etc. We managed to park nearby OK at 4pm but we went out and at 11pm all the spaces were...

We recently stayed at Riverside Guest House for 2 nights whilst visiting family in Newcastle which is conveniently located for the town centre. Elaine greeted us with a warm welcome and showed us to a lovely bright room with a view of the river at the back of the house. A breakfast with plenty of choice, fruit, yoghurt, cereal and...
