We booked this b&b a year in advance with our friends. Upon arrival we were informed by the estranged owner that we were to stay in a B&B accross the road as she had a preferential booking for four adults for a week. We were quite annoyed about this. Katie didn't even apologise to us. It was quite apparent that...

We stayed here for one night in April 2011, for a wedding at nearby Linden Hall Hotel. The landlady was very friendly and booked a cab to take us to the wedding after we checked in. The rooms were very nice - elegant, tasteful decor and modern (very clean) bathrooms. We had two rooms with an interconnecting door that would...

My daughter and I stayed here for the last night before her wedding and the bed and room were so comfortable. The bathroom had a large walk in shower & everywhere was so clean. Nothing was too much trouble, Breakfast was provided at 7.15 in the morning so we could get to the hairdressers ( best scrambled egg I have...

This B&B is absolutely excellent. Highlights for us included, in no particular order: the landlady, who was very helpful and recommended a great restaurant; the breakfast, which was plentiful and delicious; the beds, which were the most comfortable we found anywhere with feather duvets and pillows; the bathroom, which had a great shower and was generally better than what you...

My husband and I arrived after a long flight from Cape Town, South-Africa and were met by the owner and her son who carried, because she could see we were very tired, our heavy bags to our room. Because we came from summer in SA, we were quite taken aback by the cold in the Uk but thankfully the room...

Norman Bates from "Psycho" is no match for his female equivalent in Lansdown House Morpeth. We were due to arrive on Christmas Eve, but because of the bad weather in Scotland we were forced to abandon our trip that day. My sister - in -law phoned Landsdown House to say that we couldn't make it because of the bad weather...

Firstly, there is no parking, I was told it was OK to park in the residents spaces outside and that I didn't need a permit as they were only checked once a week. My room was not featured on the website, it was the weird split level room a previous reviewer had experienced, at least there was now a hand...

Whilst lansdown house is both very clean and comfortable, the front of house experience is somewhat lacking. Obviously more used to speaking to dogs and horses than human beings the owner was amazingly short with us for no reason. We decided to skip breakfast as they not able to meet our demanding time of 7.30am but we still got charged...

My husband and myself have just returned from our visit to Lansdown House. The accommodation was comfortable, and clean. The landlady was very helpful and caring, and was always interested to hear about her guests , what they were interested in, and offering helpful advice which she felt would be beneficial for them. Hopefully, we will return sometime, but we...
