It is starting to show wear and tear,I know it's an old house but other similar properties seemed to cope We stayed overnight and were greeted by very friendly staff. The room was superb but the bathroom was a bit shabby the shower was poor no power and...

We had a fantastic stay at this beautiful hotel. Dinner was superb and good value. Staff exceptional. Would recommend and definitely go back. The grounds are so well kept. The hall is nicely designed and cosy.

My Husband and I stayed for a short break just over a week ago, to celebrate his birthday. We had a gorgeous room, the food was fantastic, and the staff could not do enough for us. Nothing was too much trouble. We think that this stay was one of the best holidays that we have ever had. The experience will...

Only saved by the extremely helpful and charming front of house staff. A list: 1. Incorrect 'room service menu' in our room-old prices that where only honoured when I complained to staff. 2. Terrible cheese platter with sliced soggy bread as an accompaniment-sent it back and was phoned by f&b manager who was extremely patronising and rude (although he reluctantly...

My Husband and I came here for a little chill out treat on the 13th February. We were not disappointed. The room we had booked was upgraded. The deluxe room was very nice. Classic in design and very clean. The bed was very comfy and the view over the golf course was lovely. Room 007 didn't disappoint. Nice teas and...

Stayed a Saturday evening on a spa treatment, dinner, bed and breakfast deal booked directly with the hotel. Paid an upgrade to a feature room. Nice setting 30 mins from Newcastle, check in straightforward. Log fire in the entrance hall. The feature room was small and looking very tired, peeling wallpaper, dirty grout etc. Standard toiletries, no conditioner. Standard double...

Nice hotel. Staff at the desk were very pleasant. Evening meals were very good and beautifully presented. The breakfasts were slightly disappointing. Both mornings the scrambled eggs, tomato and hash brownswere cold even tho' the plates were warm. One other guest complained and sent his breakfast back. In the evening the hotel in general lacked atmosphere as there was nothing...

We stayed at linden hall for one night as a treat for myself and husband. The hotel grounds are beautiful, the hotel itself is lovely. We booked an executive room which I was not too impressed with, to me it was more like a spacious standard bedroom. We had a bottle of water and fruit on arrival and apart from...

I'm not usually one for leaving a poor review but after our stay at Linden Hall, I feel that I have to share a few things. Arrival was great - reception staff were very friendly and informative. We went straight up to the room to be met by a wall of cold! On one of the coldest days of the...
