Had two nights in the family room. The family room is perfect with two kids as they have a separate twin room, within the large space. Very clean, bright and fresh feel to the room. Shower and bathroom clean and warm. Full cooked breakfast, which was lovely. Place is relaxed and quiet. Would stay again. I read some of the...

Our room was very nice, good size, nice temperature and very clean. Delicious breakfast in a charming dining room. The only downside is that you have to drive to find somewhere for dinner, but we had a great stay.

We stayed for one night as we're attending a family funeral so we're not in the most joyous moods ourselves. I emailed the lady beforehand enquiringly about their menu as I mistakenly thought we could purchase an evening meal there (my daughter is allergic to nuts and egg). The email response was very short and blunt and I felt like...

My husband and I stayed here for one night for a christening we were attending. A few days prior to our arrival the lady owner called me and asked if we could arrive no later than 2pm as she was going to a football match. This seemed fine and we agreed. Unfortunately, (having travelled 135 miles) we were ten minutes...

After a very hectic whistle-stop tour around Scotland, my family (two adults and four mostly grown up children) arrived at Barnacre for a two might stay. The accommodation was excellent and very comfortable. The luxury of having a bath as well as a shower was amazing. It was just what we needed after a week of non-stop traveling. The breakfasts...

The quality of the rooms were good. Comfy bed. Modern bathroom. However there were areas of the room which had not been cleaned properly. Almost like they forgot by mistake (and not on purpose). Certainly the bed had been made in a hurry, a dirty flannel was left with clean ones and the sink had not been cleaned since the...

Barnacre is in a lovely position in the village, with open gardens. The conversion has created a beautiful B&B, which is a bit like the Tardis! We stayed in the deluxe 2-bedroom family suite "Samantha", although we only needed one bedroom. This was a superb room - so clean and well decorated. Very spacious with a modern ensuite bathroom (excellent...

Stayed in the granary building, this is a nice B&B, we have stayed at plenty and this is as good as it gets. You are not over fussed at all, breakfast is good, as one would expect, cereal toast, daily specials or full English or both, fresh juice and tea coffee jams etc. We stayed in a self contained building...

Our first trip to Northumberland in a quiet location with Morpeth only a five minute drive away. A comfortable bed, nice large kitchen, chairs and settees that coaxed you towards a nap. Breakfasts are delicious with ample choice to satisfy even the pickiest of eaters.

A beautiful quiet location close to Morpeth. We stayed in a lovely room with a very comfortable bed and an en suite bathroom with walk-in shower. Fresh milk is available for tea and coffee. The breakfast was superb with eggs laid by the chickens wandering in the garden. The coffee is also very good.
