We waited 35 minutes to get our order although we were the only people in the place. When the food came, there were four of us eating, all the chips were over fried and very dry. 2 of us ordered pizza, 1 vegetarian which was over cooked it was inedible the edges were too hard and could not even be...

This has to be one of the most appalling meals I have ever eaten. I had the Steak and Ale pie which when I broke through the pastry the meat was burnt and the smell was awful. The contents had obviously been scraped off the bottom of a pan. I was offered a complimentary dessert which I didn't want to...

The first half - I have visited this Inn several and have always left complimentary reviews and for the first half this is no different - staff hard working and welcoming and the standard of cleanliness in the accommodation is of the highest standard - well done to the housekeeping staff. Wifi now in the rooms another plus and for...

Highly recommended - the location is ideal for visiting all the popular attractions so very little driving involved. We stayed off peak - 3 nights, bed, breakfast and evening meal for £40 each person. Full marks for cleanliness in the room, shower was excellent ( and very welcome after a 7 mile walk in the rain!), the meals were well...

We stayed for one night, having booked two rooms, on arrival we found that the booking had been entered wrong and only one room had been booked for two nights. However they did have a room free which had a double bed - no problem but they only had two single duvets!!! Our room had problems with the toilet which kept...

The 'Winter Warmer' offer provides bed, breakfast and two courses of the evening meal for only £40 per person over a three-night stay. For a single person, it's great as there is no annoying supplement to pay and the advantage of a spacious room which is nicely furnished and snug as well as provided with quality biscuits and tea-making facilities....

Gets very busy so speed overtakes quality but accepatable if you are in need of a warm meal, the staff are nice and do their best - good menu but be prepared to wait if the car park is busy. Several seating areas seems to be very popular with travelling families

Wanted to visit Holy Island so stopped here for two nights. The food was good and the accommodation ideal. We waited at the inn for the right tides before going onto the island to explore. It was so convenient and quite homely. We did manage to get to the Farne Islands too. I would recommend this inn as a good...

We stayed here last minute for 2 nights, there were 8 of us all together. The rooms very very clean and newly refurbished, the food was very good ( much better than we had expected considering the price ) but it was the staff that were the jewel in he crown, Jan and the others were great, nothing was too...

We would rather stop on the Island but the dinner bed and breakfast deal for £45 cuts the cost of the stay probably by half. The rooms are clean fresh and have everything needed for overnight stay. WIFI is now available in the rooms. The restaurant is like you would find at a motorway service station or like an American...
