I only stayed here for 1 night after being at another location in Northumberland and chose this from Booking.Com. I had a standard room at the very top of the hotel so there were a lot of stairs to my room. The room wasn't the biggest I've ever stayed at but having said that it was warm & comfortable &...

Friendly and helpful staff. Great choice for breakfast and reasonably priced meals. Great idea having a cosy lounge rather than just using your room or the bar. Would definitely stay again, although like other reviewers, some of the rooms can be small. As it was booked as a single I didn't have any real problem, the attic rooms do tend...

We picked The Victoria as our stay point for a 5 day break. We had one of the luxury rooms with amazing views of the castle. The room was lovely and clean and a very comfy bed. The jacuzzi Bath was an added bonus. The restaurant was brilliant and we ate in every night. Particularly the two lovely ladies at...

Stayed one night in this very pleasant hotel. All the staff were very friendly and attentive especially in the dining room where nothing was a bother. The bedroom was small but very clean and cosy. The food was very good and the red wine exceptional ..... However, the four flights of stairs were not good for my old legs. Perhaps...

A really friendly hotel especially if you are a dog owner. They make you and the pooches very welcome and its great to take them into the bar and brassiere when having a meal (even breakfast). The rooms are lovely and clean but not so posh that you are scared to take the dog into them. The food is wonderful...

Stayed for two nights in The Victoria hotel and from the moment we arrived the staff couldn't have been more helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. The room we booked was a superior double and had everything we...

We stayed at the Victoria hotel as a birthday surprise and we weren't disappointed. We booked a one night special deal which included a superior room, evening dinner and breakfast. We have stayed here before and realised that it's always best to book a superior room, we had lovely views over the village and the church. Our room was spacious,...
